This is a brilliant and well thought out story, have now read it twice. I can only
imagine the amount of research that was done, and to have the mind that allowed
the Author to put this story onto paper.

Ken Bloomfield was a former resident who lived two houses from me, I had no clue
to his talent of story telling. Take my word for it is a hard book to put down,I can recommend this book.

Great start, in the battle field, but quickly moves on to the engrossing story, split between time frames, with more twists and turns than you can count, but all well thought out, good story line, could not put it down, can well recommend it for a good read. Not suitable for children to read, bit scary at times.

This novel is fascinating, enthralling and riveting; it tells a unique story in a unique way. The Characters are so well developed and so well described you feel you know them personally. The protagonist especially. You don't just want to turn the page to find out what happened, you actually care about what is going to happen. The style of writing draws you into the adventure and you feel you are part of it. I enjoyed it so much that I was sorry when I had finished it.

This is an excellent first outing for this author. A well researched, well thought out tale that spans both the historical and action genres. An enjoyable read, that was fast paced and didn't drag it's feet through endless unnecessary facts. It will be interesting to see what this author comes up with next - Boston College Librarian

I am one of those who only read when i am travelling, the books i chose must be entertaining and i really prefer to have one of those books that i cant stop reading and that i have finnished once i had my waiting time in the airport and the flight is about to decent at my destination.

I usually buy two or three books to each trip, the reason is that a majority of the books is boring and i simply cant get through the first 5-6 chapters of the book.

The Pilgrims Bounty is one of those few books that has a great and interesting story, heroes and crooks all packed in a writing that keeps you on the edge from the first page until the end.

I had four great hours, and i do hope that there will be a follow up to this book!

I've given it 4 stars not because it's not a roller-coaster of excitement because it is exactly that. It's not the best book I've ever read but I must admit it comes very close. I wasn't sure if it was going to be for me in the early chapters but I suddenly realized that I didn't want to put it down and was turning the pages to see what happened next. In the end it was a well written novel with believable characters, some almost lovable and some to make you shudder. Interesting, convoluted plots with lots of action and enough romance to please me without being slushy. It made me flinch, laugh and cry all of which is what I expect from a good book and this is a good book.

The protagonist especially. You don't just want to turn the page to find out what happened, you actually care about what is going to happen. The style of writing draws you into the adventure and you feel you are part of it. And the novel is written with enormous skill on many levels and with great subtlety. I enjoyed it so much that I was sorry when I had finished it. So I read it again. And it was even better the second time! You know its a story, but its so well told you could believe its true! Wonderful!

This has been a very enjoyable read for me. It's a non-stop thriller and adventure very reminiscent of James Rollins' Sigma Force, Vince Flynn's (RIP) Mitch Rapp, and Brad Thor's Scott Hovath. I look forward with anticipation for the next installment Mr Bloomfield's protagonists. It's a winner!!!!!
