I am very happy for the English translation of Qazi Numan's Daimul Islam Vol.1.
As a matter of fact I am greateful.

What I found in a brief survey of the book (it is brief because it will have to be a life time project) are following prominent disturbing findings:
1)Mr. Poonawala's disrespect for the translator
2)Mr.Poonawala's assumption that he should take liberty to to put Shia tenets in wider Islamic theological background which was never the intent of the original author
3)somewhat disrespectful attitude towards Shia Ismaili Imams-way out of context of the intent of Qazi Numan.

Al the same modern English version is a welcome addition to my search for Fatemid Fiqeh Knowledge.
