Format: Paperback
I happened across this book and thought that the title alone looked really interested. But once I started reading the book, I couldn't put it down. I actually read this book in one weekend. This book puts into question the current state of the black church and who we can trust in ministry. From crooked, money hungry preachers to brainwashed flocks, this book opened my eyes to some of the things I had experienced in my own church experience and never realized. Though there are some typos and a good editor would have been a great help, it's easy to look past the flaws and see the real gem beneath the words.

This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. It's so "real," you'll think you know everyone in the book. The novel not only provides a very interesting and intriguing story line, it will also have you questioning some of the very same aspects of your life as it relates to your spiritual journey and your perspective of the church. Awesome read!

The Pimp and the Preacher is a well-written, very eye-opening book about the modern day church and some of its practices. This book will definitely have you evaluating your own place of worship! Not to mention the story line is catchy and unpredictable. Just the kind of book you want to read.

This book was a class act. At first it moved a little slow but it was to give you time to digest the disgusting acts of these ministers and preachers. I would like to read more titles by this author. Keep up the good work!
