Twilight star Booboo Stewart (Seth Clearwater) has signed onto play Aaron Stevens in the movie version of this #1 Bestselling Thriller.

NEWS:
Sign Post Pictures in Canada has optioned the award-winning Pineville Heist screenplay and is in the financing stages.

THE STORY: Seventeen year old Aaron stumbles into the aftermath of a five million dollar bank heist gone wrong. Hiding under a canoe, Aaron partially catches the murder of one of the robbers. In the chaos he sneaks away with the money and heads straight for the closest place of safety, his high school. Terrified, Aaron tells his shocking tale to Amanda Becker, his drama teacher, but it doesn't take long for one of the psychotic robbers to show up. In the locked down school the pair are relentlessly pursued in a quest to get the money back and wipe out the evidence.

The Pineville Heist is based on the screenplay by Todd Gordon & Lee Chambers. Script consultants included a (former) Senior VP of Production at Universal Pictures and the author of the Screenwriter's Bible.

From the Author

Q&A with Author/Director Lee Chambers & Actor Booboo Stewart

Q:  "Tell us a little bit more about The Pineville Heist?

Lee: "It's a fun story about Aaron Stevens, who during the progress of the story goes from being your normal, everyday teenager to become a man and a hero.  He witnesses a murder, ends up with bag of stolen bank money and is then hunted down inside his school.  I started developing the screenplay in June 2008."

Q:  "How did the story originate and what was the motivation for the story?"

Lee: "The story came from hiding under a canoe while I was a kid playing hide and seek.   I could see them but they couldn't see me.  I watched and waited for them to leave.  I wrote this down as a short story and then years later built up a longer tale."

Q:  "Lee, what made you decide to turn your award-winning screenplay with Todd into a novel?"

Lee: "I love the story and because it takes a lot of time and money to get an independent film made, I decided to share the story in book form first.  The general public don't read screenplays.  They are mearly blueprints to build films and most of the emotional and descriptive stuff isn't included. Drafting the screenplay into a novel allowed me to explore the setting and characters in more detail.  Also, it becomes a nice companion piece when we start making the film.  It will give actors more insight into what the heart of each character is all about."

Q:  "How different is writing a screenplay compared to a conventional novel?"

Lee: "It is like night and day.  Screenplays have a structure and rules that don't exist in novels.  For example, you can't feature anything in a screenplay that we can't see or hear.  That means you can't express characters' thoughts."

Q:  "How did you find and attract Booboo?"

Lee: "I was searching IMDB and he instantly jumped out.  Sure he was in Twilight, but I didn't pick him because of it.  He looks like how I envisaged Aaron to be. So I watched some of his stuff and was impressed with what I saw.  I got in touch and he agreed to read the script. I spent some time with him last summer and really appreciated his humbleness.  He's pretty grounded from the Twilight success, while at the same time trying to make smart decisions about future work."

Q:  "Booboo you signed onto The Pineville Heist pretty early, you obviously love the story. The weight of the story is all on the shoulders of the teenager Aaron, tell me more about him?"

Booboo: "Aaron is the average guy that has to do extraordinary things.  He's not perfect, which, as an audience, makes you like him?"

Q:  "How does it feel that Lee has faith in you to be the lead in his debut feature movie?"

Booboo: "How can you not be honoured by that?  Of course I think it's fantastic.  Now I want to make sure I live up to his vision."

5.0 out of 5 stars Non Stop Twists! November 6, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I literally JUST finished reading The Pineville Heist cover to cover (well Kindle cover to cover!). This is not my normal read but by recommendation, I picked it up and loved it! There were enough twists and turns to keep my attention which is generally hard. At one point my jaw actually dropped. That's a sign of a good book! The action scenes were nostaligic for lack of better word, but I won't spoil anything for you. Absolutely check this out. Well worth the read!

Well-written and thrilling, this little page-turner will keep readers guessing who the bad guys are and who can you really trust. When the Pineville Bank is robbed, Aaron Stevens is accidently in the wrong place at the wrong time. He witnesses the thieves hiding the money and one thief turning on another and a murder!

He runs to the only safe place he can think of: his high school. Too bad the bad guys know where he is. He confides in his drama teacher, Amanda Becker, and together they try to outsmart and outrun the bad guys.

With plot twists and turns, evil thieves, back-stabbing characters, a surprise ending, and a breakneck pace, this book will score with reluctant readers and mystery lovers alike. Readers will empathize with Aaron and cheer when he triumphs. When his millionaire father finally shows some fatherly interest in him, Aaron basks in the moment.

Author Lee Chambers is a well-known writer and producer, and this is his debut novel in ya lit. I'd say he's found a new niche.

Recommended grades 7-up. No sex.

I initially read the paperback version and well I leant it to a girlfriend and now I'm getting the kindle version as I know I won't get it back again. OMG this book is totally rocking and would make an amazing movie! The characters are well defined and get involved in some shocking, thrilling, relentless action with twists I just loved. I was hooked right from the start, this is a shockingly good crime caper, seriously check this thriller out! Awesome.
