I'm very upset and not happy with this product.

So they don't behave like pool balls at all - the friction on the table slows them down quickly, they barely bounce.

I think the balls would work better if they were made out of metal.

This author's other "book," the Miniature Book of Miniature Golf, is great. That one is very playable, the writing in that one is funny too. For this one, the balls aren't heavy enough -- they are little plastic lightweight balls. So they don't behave like pool balls at all - the friction on the table slows them down quickly, they barely bounce. Little ball bearings might work OK if you can find them.

I was given this game as a Father's day gift and like the concept but the balls don't weigh enough to produce the momentum required for a realistic game. After 4-5 shots my son and I still hadn't sunk a single ball. I think the balls would work better if they were made out of metal. I am going to look for some small metal bearings and paint them to look like pool balls.

The balls this book comes with are filled with air. When they hit, there is hardly any weight there to transfer energy to the other ball. Every shot you make will make the table move because every shot requires too much force. It might be fun when I replace the balls with some kind of BB but until then it's just collecting dust on my desk. Also, retrieving the balls after a game is terrible and should have been designed better.

I was looking for a book that had games to play on our full sized pool table and this one has many to offer. My husband loved getting it for a Christmas gift from my son. He said it was a great book.
