Editorial Reviews

Review

“Sheer brilliance! Sharp, well-written and to-the-point. The ultimate patriot's handbook. Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer lay bare Barack Hussein Obama's radical agenda and how to stop it. No true American's library will be complete without this book.”

--Brad Thor, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Foreign Influence

“This book is a chilling analysis of how the policy of President Barack Obama is chipping away at the very foundation of America's leading role in the world. It exposes his philosophy of near universal ‘moral equivalency’: a philosophy that is a dead ringer for the cultural relativism that has been poisoning Europe for the past decades. America is the last man standing and it is vital that the people of Europe adopt the attitude of proud American citizens and learn that it is not shameful to be proud of one’s heritage. This book is incredibly fascinating and at the same time holds a deeply disturbing message we should all take to heart.”

--Geert Wilders, Dutch MP

“Barack Obama is the most radical individual ever to occupy the White House. This excellent book by Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer explains exactly what that means and why its implications are fraught with such dangers for this great Republic.”

--David Horowitz, author of Radical Son

“Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer are two of the most incisive analysts of events at home and abroad, and you could not ask for better guides to where ‘hope,’ ‘change’ and czars are taking us – and what Americans can do about it.”

--Mark Steyn, New York Times bestselling author of America Alone

“In The Post-American Presidency, Pamela Geller shines her laser on President Barack Obama – his life, his values, his friends and his perceptions of the country he leads. What she reports will disturb not only every American who believes in that America is the Shining City on the Hill and that the American people are what Abraham Lincoln referred to as ‘the almost chosen people.’ It should also disturb people around the world who recognize that the international system stops working when the American Atlas shirks the burden of its uniqueness.”

--Caroline Glick, author of The Shackled Warrior

“With their characteristic attention to detail, clarity and fearlessness, Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer assay the wreckage. The Post-American Presidency is must reading for every concerned American who needs to know why we’re in this perilous moment, and where we’re headed if we don’t take our exceptional country back.”

--Andrew C. McCarthy, National Review legal affairs editor, author of Willful Blindness

Format: Hardcover
Author Pamela Geller said in the Foreword to this 2010 book, "This book carries forward an ongoing and increasingly widespread critique of Barack Obama as our first post-American president." (Pg. xii) She adds, "This book lays out in painstaking detail the political view of the people he has selected to help him govern this nation and the domestic and foreign policies he promotes. It is all a result of how he was brought up, of what shaped his mind and heart. It is all a result of what drives him." (Pg. xiv) Geller is apparently an advocate of Ayn Rand, and often cites her (pg. 33-34, 174, 178, 235, 289, 329).

She asks, "Is reporting on Islamic jihad, gender apartheid, clitorectomies, beheadings, child marriage, polygamy, absence of women's rights, honor killings, Islamic expansionism, and Islamic supremacism also to be considered defamation of Islam?" (Pg. 8)

She cites several persons (such as Zbigniew Brzezinski) as an "anti-Israel voice associated with Obama... There was no comparable group of defenders of Israel around Obama." (Pg. 93) She observes, "while calling on (Israeli Prime Minister) Netanyahu to rise to the occasion [i.e., move toward a two-state solution], Obama issued no similar call to Palestinian Arab leaders. Yet ... Hamas... had repeated that it would never recognize Israel's right to exist." (Pg. 112)

She is critical of the "George Soros-funded Report," 'Changing Course: A New Direction for U.S. Relations with the Muslim World' and the Brookings Institution's 'Doha Compact': "(Obama) didn't seem concerned with the Muslim Brotherhood ties of both initiatives, or with how their dictates weakened the United States.

Along with Michelle Malkin's 'Culture of Corruption' define the genre, which chronicle the stark reality that Barrack Obama was ineffectually vetted as a candidate for the American presidency. Frankly, everyone should read these two books because their documentation and analysis is nearly flawless; their reasoning and commentary precisely logical.

Proof, that we, the American people, have chosen very poorly indeed.

However, if you don't believe in America, if you think a Muslim, American-hating, Chicago mobster with a Marxist Philosophy should be President of our country---no amount of proof will be sufficient to convince you otherwise.

This is a real eye opener. Never been much of a follower of US politics, but this makes me want to vote there. It's hard to imagine a more destructive individual to not only American interests but also those of the free world. Where did you guys ever find this clown puppet? Please, please raise up a new president with the guts to try and undo the damage.

Only a year and half into President Obama's administration, Pamela Geller of the blog Atlas Shrugs, along with Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch, have already found enough deeply disturbing information about Obama's presidency to fill a book. No relevant subject is left untouched. The book covers in detail his close ties to radical Islam, his unsettling views on Israel and Jews, his socialist leanings, and his attempts to subvert U.S. authority to internationalism.

The theme of The Post -American Presidency: The Obama Administration's War on America, is how Obama has at best changed, at worst destroyed the presidency; he has taken American exceptionalism (which ironically got him where he is today) and replaced it and the concepts of good and evil with equivocation and moral relativism. (p. xiv) In characteristic Geller style, the book is sprinkled throughout with predictions from Ayn Rand that are now taking place.

Many of Obama's actions will be familiar - Obamacare, refusing to characterize the Fort Hood, Texas massacre as an act of by a terrorist jihadist, banning phrases like "War on Terror," appointing new government "czars" unaccountable to no one but himself. But all too many anecdotes come as a surprise to the average reader; having received little national media coverage.

The expose on how Obama treats Islam, Jews/Israel and Christianity is one of the best parts of the book. While president, Obama has been quietly promoting Islam using the government in a way that would have the ACLU screaming if it was Christianity instead. (p.189) Obama has promoted Islam much more than any previous president ever promoted Christianity, but it is all flying under the mainstream media's radar.

I dare you. I triple dare you. Those of you who by reason of race, faith or liberal disposition do not yet recognize the mortal danger posed by the combination of Obama and a leftwing congress should read this book. You will be the ones who will not have a future beyond serfhood to cruel state that isn't your mommy or your daddy. If you confuse the government with your parents you need a new family and a psychiatrist a nd you desperately need to read this book with an open mind and a willing spirit. Thank whatever gods you pray to that we are still free enough to buy and read this excellent primer. Literature is for later. Truth -- and the truth does exist and will make and keep us free -- is the critical thing we most need to have now. Thank you Ms.Geller.
