I'd never heard of this book or Neville before, and I find that quite surprising. This book is a must-read for anyone who would like to create the life that they want. It's concise and to the point and gives practical instructions on how to create the reality that you want, without a lot of metaphysical theory or quantum explanations that no layperson could understand anyways. You also don't need to follow and memorize a 9-step thing or a 7-step thing, Neville distills it all down to simple, easy instructions that anyone can follow, without needing a Ph.D. in English to understand. Another good thing that this book has over others of its kind is its use of IMAGINATION instead of VISUALIZATION (a very hot New Agey word). Some of us are incapable of visualizations, because our minds just don't see images. However EVERYONE is capable of imagining things in some shape, form or colour, we might imagine with spoken words instead of visual images, or some people are more into sensations. Neville's method, unlike many New Age ideas, speaks to all these different kinds of people.
In only 88 pages this book says more powerful information than many of the self help books of these days. This book goes straight to the bone with no fillers. I'm not a layman, I've been studying tons of books from different points of view about the powers of the mind and I can tell you that this book is totally right in its content and there are very important facts (written in a metaphysical way) that only today science (neurology, psychology) is understanding. You must to read it with an open mind and reflecting until you absorb it well. (If you're one of those skeptic persons, forget it)
They should be teaching these "truths" in school starting with kinder garden. This book could change the world, but most people will not believe the teachings in this book. I am 75 and I learned "a whole bunch" from this book. Dick OBrien
I purchased this edition not realizing there was a much newer and better prepared edition. There were many typos and grammatical errors, although Nevilles content is excellent. It was the publishing that was off.
I would give this book more stars if they were available to give. If you are on a spiritual quest and looking for answers to advance in your quest, I have not found another book at this time that would equal this. The saying " when the student is ready, the teacher appears" has certainly proved to be true for me. I have read it three times cover to cover and will use it as a study guide to bring myself to a place I have longed to find and to be. I have read many books in this category but none of them tell you 'how' to achieve what you are wanting until this book, and now all the other books have more meaning after you get the 'aha' moments from The Power of Awareness. What a GREAT book!
