Determine Your Future by the Words You Speak Today

In The Power of Your Words, Robert Morris tells us that there are three types of people: (1) those who think before they speak; (2) those who think while they speak; and (3) those who think after they speak. Which one are you? If you were told that God records every word you speak, would this help you to think before you speak?

We all know that words carry enormous power-the power to heal or to wound, to encourage or to dishearten, to speak truth or to deceive, to praise or to criticize. They can be the key to our success or the reason for our downfall. So, how do we harness that power? How do we learn to use our words to their greatest potential?.

The Power of Your Words will take you on a journey of discovery into more than just the obvious physical and emotional impact your words can have; this is a journey that will help you understand the spiritual force inherent in every word you speak. Find out how to live more freely; how to connect more meaningfully; how to undo the damage of your words; and, most important, how to pause, ponder, and then pray before speaking.

Robert Morris wants you to know that good words last and carry enormous power to help, heal, encourage and move us to a greater level of living. When you say something positive or encouraging to your spouse, to your kids or to your friends, your words will last forever. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

This book presents how powerful "words" are to everything and every area in your life. Any parent or spouse will find this book to be extremely helpful in having a home that is full of love, respect, and discipline. Rev. Morris shares such straight forward renderings of his heart and adherence to the word of God, that is is entirely refreshing. It is a book that I can hardly put down, but do for a short while so that I can absorb all the wonderful "words of life" into my spirit. Be blessed.

I think most believers know their words have power, and everybody understands that words can hurt or help...but this book takes you to a place of greater understanding. I was convicted and I was encouraged- most importantly I am changed. This book proves the concept of the power of our words because Robert Morris' words did some surgery on me- and they would you too.
I love Pastor Morris' writing- he writes to educate, build up and edify and this book is another example of his God-given skill. I have copied small portions of this book and put them on facebook and twitter for my friends, and emailed privately some others- it's that good. I am certainly encouraging my teens to read this. It will save them so much grief!

The book serves to heighten our awareness as to the power of life and death in our words. Doesn't get too deep in any one area, and has a helpful chapter on praying in the Spirit. This is encouraging to those of us who would like to receive the gift of a prayer language.

This is the third book we have read from Robert Morris. We actually use his books and videos for a home fellowship group we lead. The Biblical truths that Robert Morris teaches through his books and videos have been life changing for us and many others as well. I highly recommend his books!

This book is a powerful testimony of how God can work through an individual's life to change so many other individuals lives. Everyone in America need to read this book, if nothing more than to know that we do not have the freedom of speech in the Kingdom of God as it relates to each other, particularly negative speech.

Sincerely,

Bought this for a friend who is in a verbally abusive relationship - read it myself and it is truly inspirational. It has changed the way I think about my communication with everyone, especially those closest to me.

This book does a very good job of clearly explaining from a biblical perspective the impact of words in our lives. It starts with a deeper look at how we use our own words, unfortunatley often for harm. The second half the the book is a very freeing and powerful message of how through the Holy Spirit we can change our lives and empower others for the cause of Christ. The author is relevant, humble and speaks truth.

I recently purchased this book for my son who is in prison. A few weeks later I bought it for myself. The author has brought so much insight to me through this book. I have always known how powerful our words can be because God himself spoke and it came to pass, and as this book points out our words whether we are a Christian or not have the same effect..bad or good. I encourage anyone who wants to redefine his thought life and what comes out the mouth to read this book. A big Thank you to Robert Morris for putting this book together and for the scriptures used !!!
