I still like it, being a huge PPG fanatic, but I still agree with others of why they changed their looks.
The plot was ok, and I was expecting them to do it in the original style. And the original writers are
not there anymore, and sadly they tried their best to revive the girls. But many didn't like it, but others
did. But I think it was created this way to reach out to the newer generations of cartoon audiences now.

So apparently the rumors I've begged to turn away have become true, and there was in fact a Powerpuff Girls special released pretty recently in January. The first turnoff here is that Craig McCracken, the series's creator, was not involved with this at all, leaving me awfully concerned when I first laid eyes on it.

Anyway, the plot is actually something I would probably expect from the original show - It's a silly tale of the three kindergartners battling an evil monster like usual, and then getting hooked on an obvious riff of Dance Dance Revolution (Bubbles especially). Eventually, recurring nemesis Mojo Jojo decides to create a bootlegged version that turns the girls into robots. And then it's up to the Professor to figure things out. Later, he does just that and (SPOILER WARNING), it turns out Mojo Jojo wasn't trying to snatch away Chemical X, but instead to......................................................................form...........a frickin' softball team. Seriously.

What I wouldn't expect from the original show are the little bits of things that I couldn't help but be bothered by. Ringo Starr of Beatles fame appears as this math-crazed dude who hardly has any lines and doesn't even do any of the musical numbers in the special itself. The Professor's origins have also changed unnecessarily, despite that an entire episode focused on that long before this special surfaced. There's also the little out-of-character moments, like Bubbles using Ice Breath (Blossom's power), the Mayor scolding on Ms. Bellum as one of his first lines, the deliberate temper tantrum the PPG set off in the store, and the whole "Team Brocollini" and Mojo's softball team tidbits.

But you know what?

I'll admit the story was a bit rushed or maybe there was just too much going on, but it still feels like the old Powerpuff Girls. I loved the hints to the old episodes (broccolini, the girls arguing, pickle jar, etc)

Most first episodes aren't that great, but I think this remake will just get better and better...I hope ;)

of course with the movie art style, it leaves you wanting more dialog and a longer episode in general. but it was true to the style of the old episodes and i would probably watch it if cartoon network continued the series with this art style.

They totally ruined the Powerpuff Girls' legacy with this utter nonsense and sad excuse of an episode. It doesn't even deserve to have the name Powerpuff Girls attached to it. The animation was horrible in this! The Powerpuff Girls was a 2D show, not a 3D mess that this was. As a true Powerpuff Girl fan, I am ashamed of this.
