Each one of the "Primes" as Chris calls them, is simply illustrated with a memorable graphic, and short descriptions that help you see how the idea applies.

If you work with other people, you know how challenging it can be to find common
ground, create productive working relationships, lead without taking over, and share
your perspectives while listening openly to others who have a different view. This book
covers all the practical ways to work through all of these life/work issues and so much
more, and does it simply and effectively.

I've read this book several times and now keep it close to my desk as a reference for helping people in all kinds of situations when they need to get unstuck. The PRIMES is not only an entertaining and quick read, but it's chock full of insights that are helping me help other people move past all kinds of issues that tie up progress unnecessarily. I've given a copy to all my clients and it's becoming a shared vocabulary we can use to recognize problems - even in the middle of meetings - and institute immediate and effective course corrections. This book is helping my clients and I get stuff done faster and more effectively. And - it's a great read. I love the illustrations, which are easy to absorb and even duplicate. Chris' style is empowering. When you're done reading it you're ready to take on anything! (and you will!)

The PRIMES succeeds in providing simple terms and illustrations that anyone in any field could identify with and use when tackling their most complex problems. I highly recommend the PRIMES to anyone who seeks to make a difference in the world!

The Primes provide individuals with a select set of tools that improve group learning and enable teams to understand the nature and characteristics of issues in a whole new way. The best part about the tool set is that it is simple to learn and simple to use. If you are going to work with a group at church trying to plan an event, school trying to develop a new program, work trying to get disparate team members to tackle a big challenge this book is for you. Great Job!

The "Primes" shares pearls of wisdom in form of patterns, to create an "alphabet soup" for transformational work, no matter the arena you are working in. It provides a meaningful, original and simple way to access the author's 30 years of consulting experience, by making it readily available with simple images. As a training consultant, learner and practioners of learning as transformation I particularly appreciated how this book frames the often complex work of sharing "best practices" as a work of "naming the world" - in line with a Freireian pedagogy. As the ideas in the PRIMES have proven to work in a variety of contexts for transformational efforts, reading the book stimulates and inspires the reader to put these "lessons learned" into practice. Ultimately, THE PRIME is a book for leaders during organizational change efforts.

Finally, a business / consulting / personal development book that is not only descriptive, but prescriptive! The Primes is a very quick read, and many of its principles can be applied immediately to daily work-life. Chris has done a great job with this one.
