When most of us think, "I want more prosperity", what we often mean is "I want more MONEY". And if that's what you want, that's fine... nothing wrong with that, and who among us wouldn't enjoy financial abundance? But in Laura B. Fortgang's latest life-changing read, we learn that "The Prosperity Plan" can be about so much MORE than "just" money.
Laura seems to know how to strike the right balance between practical advice (after all, we don't achieve anything without having a solid step-by-step plan, and taking specific actions, and this book walks us through a very good process for doing so) and helping readers go a bit deeper. (And if you're one of those folks that fears the "woo-woo" or "airy-fairy" type of book, I'll just suggest that this isn't THAT type of book, and even if it was, if it helps you get where you want to go, then what's wrong with a bit of "woo-woo"?) I agree with Laura that much of what stands in the way of us attracting or creating what we want in our lives (better heath, better relationships, more love, more fun, more adventure, more interesting and fulfilling work and even more money) is our belief in the possibility that those things can exist... for US. By being open to the possibility of prosperity, we take the first steps toward "creating the circumstances by which good luck can find us" (one of my all-time FAVORITE things I've heard Laura say).
If your intentions for 2011 and beyond are to change the circumstances in your life so that you CAN experience more prosperity of EVERY kind, then maybe "The Prosperity Plan" is the tool you need to put you on the path.
This book is awesome. Without being too New Age-y or spiritual, the author does a great job of leading us toward true prosperity - a changed vibration reflected by a change in our attitudes toward money and security.
The author includes great anecdotes to remind you that she's talking to and about real people who have taken risks on themselves, invested in their passions, and learned how to hone their senses to discern opportunity.
I have read 1000's of books on the subject of success, law of attraction, motivation and wealth creation. I have been a business consultant, peak performance expert and motivational coach for over 16 years. As such I have read many good and extremely poor books on motivation, success, law of attraction and prosperity. Very few books receive 5 stars from me, but this book is one of the exceptions.
I have been criticised for very negative reviews of law of attraction books such as The Cosmic Ordering System by Stephen Richards, so much so I was forced to withdraw the review because of the hate mail I received. I am negative about many of these books because they fail to deal with the very serious issue of past negative programming, which in my experience working with clients, forms the real reason so many people have problems with personal success. This book deals with this very serious impediment to success throughout the book. By the end of the book the author has brilliantly convinced you that you are perfect just the way you are. The book helps to "recalibrate" your thinking and actions so that success will inevitably be yours for the asking.
The book mixes some law of attraction work, with strategic goal setting and personal development ideas. When you do the accompanying questions that end each of the 10 chapters and work through the issues that have been impeding your success, you will reach conclusions about your own ability to create prosperity.
Reading this has been one of the most motivating experiences of recent months. It is a simple read, with 10 prosperity lessons. The activities and chapters will help recalibrate your thinking and so change your life. This is a brilliant book and chapters 2 and 10 will transform your thinking about yourself if you suffer from self esteem issues.
A short but brilliant read about re-evaluating areas of your life, learning how you can bring more happiness and prosperity in your life. It does talk about increasing your income but it also talks about how to improve your overall health, relationships, work environment... there are some real gems here for you to ponder. There was even one passage that hit so close to home for me, I gasped and teared up (which hardly ever happens with anything I read anymore!). If you're feeling like you're in a rut, I highly recommend looking this one over.
The author pulls together all of the "think positive" knowledge that others have shared over time and she has packaged it well. It is not a long book - every word has relevance. It is gold in paper and word form if you follow the "Plan."
