Book Description

He's 14 pounds of sleek black and white glory. With an attitude ... and opinions ... on everything.

"The PsychoKitty Speaks Out" is the diary of Max, a put-upon and under-appreciated domestic feline with both a disdain and a fondness for Sticky Little People, an addiction to Kitty Crack, and an appetite for Stinky Goodness. He began his popular blog "The Psychokitty Speaks Out" in October of 2003, and this is an expansion of that journal; all those dates when he didn't blog--they're here, in all his snarky glory.

5.0 out of 5 stars All hail our Feline Overlords. April 10, 2011

Max's chronicles as a housecat is amusing and a great read for cat lovers. His rather cynical and sassy humor (and constant potty mouth) may not be for everyone, but if you're familiar with his work and like it, this is a must-have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for cat lovers! January 9, 2010

Max has a distinct voice in this book, and a distinct attitude every cat owner can identify with. If you love cats, this is a book you will enjoy. Many parts are quite memorable - esp. "stinky goodness," which was my personal favorite!

4.0 out of 5 stars If you have a cat you will relate to PsychoKitty! December 20, 2012
By Mom
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I found Psychokitty pretty entertaining. I thought of my old man cat I lost last year, "That is exactly what Mr. Bink would do." "Binkers probably thought that way too!" I chuckled out loud a few times. I would recommend this as a fun read. So why the 4 and not a 5? It got a little old after a bit... that or Kitty's bad attitude pushed me to go love on my current feline family. Go ahead buy it and see if you look at your kitty a little differently. >*.*<

5.0 out of 5 stars So funny December 19, 2012
By sham

I started reading this on my Kindle and couldn't help giggling...people just stared at me, but I couldn't help it. The things that Max describes, the way he sees things, and the things he does are so typical of kitties that I often wonder if my cat is thinking the same way. Too bad the book is so short, I read it in less than 5 days.

3.0 out of 5 stars Crass at times, but a quick, funny read December 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As cat owners, we can all relate to our cats' apparent desire to inflict lethal harm with a well-placed cat toy or by standing precisely where we need to take our next step (how DO they maintain such consistent accuracy!?). This book puts a humorous spin on many of our feline friends' behaviors, from the perspective of the cat. There are definitely parts of the book that are a bit crass, so I would not recommend this for children, or for those who might prefer to void harsher language. In a way, I almost feel like the language detracted from an otherwise well-written, humorous book that could have been enjoyed by a larger audience had it been cleaned up a bit. That said, I truly enjoyed the book and will pick it up again for a quick read when I need a laugh.

This is a must-read for everyone, whether you're owned by a cat or not! Max's personality & "catitude" are great, I was chuckling throughout the whole book! Do not read this out in public, though. People look at you funny when you laugh to yourself repeatedly! Doods - read this!!

I absolutely love this book! Gut splitting laughs on every page! I swear that Max wrote this himself, it is exactly how a cat looks at things. Can't wait to start the next book, I plan on reading all of them!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious January 5, 2013
By Leanne

max may be a little potty mouthed but his outlook on life is so funny. I have a black and white very similar to Max and now find myself wondering what he is thinking. I have even caught myself referring to his food a stinky goodness.

If you have a cat, this book is for you. Max is all about Max and his antics will have you laughing to the last page.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cat lover's book
This is a fun book for anyone who owns cats as I do. Many issues are easy to relate to one's own cats. Well, written by Max and sounds a lot like my girl kitty.
