Book Description

The Pyramids and the Pentagonis a detailed study of how and why government agencies have, for decades, taken a clandestine and profound interest in numerous archeological, historical, and religious puzzles.

Focusing primarily upon the classified work of the U.S. Government, The Pyramids and the Pentagon invites you to take a wild ride into the fog-shrouded past. It's a ride that incorporates highlights such as:

  • The CIA's top-secret files on Noah's Ark
  • U.S. Army documents positing that the Egyptian Pyramids were constructed via levitation
  • Disturbing military encounters with Middle Eastern djinns
  • Claims of nuclear warfare in ancient India
  • Links between the Face on Mars and the pharaohs
  • And many more

Nick Redfern's The Pyramids and the Pentagon clearly and provocatively demonstrates that deep and dark conspiracies exist within the shadowy world of officialdom--conspiracies that have the ability to rock the foundations of civilization, religion, and history to their very core. The strange and amazing secrets of the past are just a heavily guarded government vault away.

5.0 out of 5 stars A writer at the top of his research and writing! May 26, 2012
    Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I have been an avid fan of Nick Redfern's research. His books have always been a valuable addition to my library. I feel this is the best book he has ever written! Many of the topics are about issues that I have yet to encounter in my decades plus in UFOs and issues that the CIA, NASA and other black budget recipients refuse to make public. Here are just a few of the fascinating subjects in this tome: the Mayan 2012 enigma, crop circles, the various strange interests of the CIA, NASA and similar organizations of the British intelligence branches that include Noah's ark, the strange raid of the ancient antiquities museum in Iraq, and the entirety of the ancient Sumerian civilization!
Nick is an author that I buy as soon as a new book hits the market! I'm sure anyone who purchases this book will find themselves reading into the wee small hours of the morning as I did just last night! Few books reach that level of interest! Bravo, Nick!

as well as of several obscure ones. Consulting published materials from fields far apart and presenting official policy papers and declassified documents, Redfern investigates the abiding interest of American (and British) military and civilian intelligence agencies in anomalous ancient artefacts and megalithic sites representing exotic technology that can be utilized, primarily, for military purposes, and which may threaten with rewriting history as we know it. Needless to emphasize, an equal measure of attention has been devoted to certain researchers and their hypotheses.
However, bear in mind: "Perhaps the surveillance [of psychics Jeane Dixon and Ruth Montgomery, in particular; also meant to be understood more generally] was undertaken to try to determine how successfully the CIA's faked stories of ancient aliens, and its MK-Ultra-style mind manipulations relative to possibly bogus outer-space-linked issues such as the Nine, were pulling the strings of the New Age arena" (p. 129).

Among the various topics covered in the book, the reader can find the following: 1) USAF's repeated photographic missions of the so-called 'Noah's Ark' being located close to the summit of Mt.

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Read but Need More Facts May 29, 2012
    Format:Paperback
The U.S. Government wants to know about everyone and everything, sometimes even keeping their information to themselves. In "The Pyramids and the Pentagon: The Government's Top Secret Pursuit of Mystical Relics, Ancient Astronauts, and Lost Civilizations," renowned author Nick Redfern tries to link the government's interest and knowledge in the topic of past history, relics, aliens and artifacts.

This two hundred and eight-four page soft cover book has a light brown jacket with three photos depicting the Pyramids, the Pentagon and the Face of Mars on the front with one review and a description of the book contents with the author's small photograph on the back. It is written in casual format with no noticeable grammatical or typographical errors.

In addition to a small dedication and acknowledgment page with table of contents, there is a short introduction at the beginning of the book. About a dozen black and white (some grainy) photographs are included inside. A short conclusion is followed by nineteen pages of bibliography, five pages of index and a one page about the author with other written works mentioned.

This quick read is a documentary of how governments (especially the United States and England) want to learn, change, or use for their advantage information about past historical relics, religious artifacts and mystical or lost civilizations. Redfern discusses the government's interest in topics ranging from the biblical Dead Sea Scrolls, Noah's Ark, the Ark of the Covenant or the Holy Grail to the Egyptian Pyramids, the Dancing Stones, Stonehenge, and the Face of Mars. Each topic tries to correlate the government's interest (secretive or not), cover-up and tracking of either the people involved or the object itself.

4.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing but cut short October 10, 2012
    By eaoun
    Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
It is an intriguing book. It exposes many incidents that may be covered up. But it is supposed to be somehow "investigative" which was not done properly. With every incident you feel that while reading, you will reach the clear truth; rather, it stops short of reaching any definitive conclusion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended July 10, 2012
    Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I was actually looking for a different book by Nick Redfern when I bought this one on impulse. I could not turn the pages fast enough, I found it so intriguing. There is much data in here that has been further extrapolated in a manner of & with information that I had not hitherto been familiar with. This is a very pleasant outcome when after much prolific reading one book starts to sound so much like another. I would highly recommend this book!

I found this book interesting but repetitive of much I had already read elsewhere. For those that do not read as much as I do on this subject this would be a great place to start.
