Excellent color and quality -- a great way to correspond with a quilt-loving or history-loving friend.

I framed three of these together, and I'm thinking about decoupaging some to a cigar box for a folk art craft. Colors terrific, designs genius.

Having visited the actual display, these cards are gorgeous! They're almost too nice to send!

The book on the Gee's Bend quilts is great-- these quilts from a very impoverished and isolated region are so unexpected and very modern. Just delightful. Learned recently that Martin Luther King went to this small town and preached there shortly before his death-- don't know full story on why he went to this spot, perhaps he had a personal connection to resident(s). As an artist, I marvel at the reckless and exciting design of some of these quilts. A few are just conventional, but the postcard selection is a pretty good mix.

This is a sampling of the Gee's Bend Quilts I so cherish. Its a small way to shared the beauty of these quilts with someone who will appreciate the art! But I may keep them for myself anyway!

I am so inspired by the women of Gee's Bend. I purchased this book of postcards for an artist friend of mine. I wish I had purchased one for myself.

When I ordered this book, I expected to get a book about Quilts, with appropriate illustrations and information about these particular quilts. I was amazed to discover that I had bought a book filled with BLANK PAGES, I supoose intended to be some sort of note book, yet it had the same cover as the listed books. This has baffled me, since a few of the same books listed on Amazon indicate that they are used books, some even being marked EX-LIBRARY. How do merchants sell used stationery and libraries stock books with blank pages??! Be warned, this is not what you may think it is.
