Book Description

It's open season on Leeland Rand when his own government targets him for elimination. Is he a deadly killer, or a pawn in a game of cat and mouse? Or both?

A mysterious stranger warns Rand to run or die, but where do you go when you are public enemy number one? Will Rand uncover whoever has targeted him for termination before the U.S. Marshal Service's best tracker can find and kill him?

Think Jason Bourne and The Fugitive, and enjoy this political thriller. Great characters and interaction.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Rand Principle Review July 3, 2012
By Donna
Format:Kindle Edition
This was such a good read for me. It had all the elements of a good action suspense book without the overdone sex and gore but the author wrote so vividly and spun the story in such an interesting and clever manner, it was a real page turner. It did certainly have romance and 'OMG what's going to happen next' kind of action and was written in an extremely real manner. The characters had substance and definitely came alive as the story progessed. I wish it was longer..I didn't want it to end.
I'm off to find another book by Jack Thompson!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Quick, Fun Read May 22, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The Rand Principle is a little out of my element, reading-wise, but I found it to be a fun and thoroughly enjoyable ride. The pacing was just quick enough to move along the story, without moving so quickly you felt as if you'd been left behind. There were plot elements that, at first, felt rushed -- but upon finishing the story, I realized that "rushed" feeling fit right in with the story's pace.

This is a tale that grabs you from the opening page, takes you to the precipice of what you *think* is going to happen -- then yanks you another way entirely and takes you on a quick journey that leaves you constantly guessing, but never confused or frustrated.

All in all, a fantastic read. I'd gladly read a sequel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast-paced, intelligent thriller with heart and motion August 29, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved this book. If anything, I thought it was too short, because it was that good and I wanted more - more story. Well-written and a story that really grabs you. It surprised me because just when I thought it was going to be one long chase, the author opened up and gave surprising and exciting depth (and extranormal abilities) to the main characters. I'd like to see a sequel!

The Rand Principle
Sometimes it takes a few years to stumble across the next author that keeps you anxious for the next read. Jack Thompson did just that for me! I regained my interest for reading ever since I started his book. I am so pleased to take his journey in the world of words!
The Rand Principle was a fascinating from the beginning to end. It grabs your interest and curiosity from the moment you start reading it. The characters became vivid in my imagination. This book was well written, didn't kill you with boring 3 page descriptions of scenery as some authors do. It gets to the point and lets you travel quickly through the mysterious plot. I was very happy with the ending as well. I loved this book and can't wait to read more of this exciting author. 5 stars to Mr. Thompson!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read, best I have read since Hunger games
Very interesting concept for a book and a bit of a stretch. You need to let the mind go to envision the direction the book takes you with this one. Tattos on the feet??

2.0 out of 5 stars Just okay
Not a fast paced read. I was expecting more thrill and suspense in the story line of Rand being hunted down. Somewhat disappointed in the interaction of characters in the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars great book....
Read this through pretty quickly. I wasn't expecting the ending as it became very far out there. The author set up nicely for a series of books. Think X-Men. Still loved it.
