I have a confession. This is the first erotic novel I've read and I can't say I didn't enjoy it. In fact I'd add another half star if this website would let me.

For most part, this novel is written in the form of a journal, in a fashion reminiscent of old fashioned science fiction from decades, or centuries, ago. So be warned, everything is told to you. It's a classic story-telling style. Imagination is the star here, not an emotional journey although there is growth. And those fantastic tales of yesteryear are evoked, just with a lot of sex.

There are brief chapters where third person is used to put the main story in context, but in the end I wondered whether this was necessary. Some painted characters we were to meet later from our first person perspective, and others may have been not important in the long run, or could have been told in some time travelling flashback from our hero, some way, some how. In short, I personally felt that our hero, Mack, should have been the only narrator. But this is only a minor issue.

Author, David Holly, has a wild imagination. I was entertained by this incredible adventure which did lose me at times, but it didn't matter. Time portals, oddly colourful sexual rituals, and a mix of fascinating worlds make this work. A tale told from an old fashioned hero who is on top of things, always. Or on his knees. Or finding the many positions to...
