Book Description

The Real Book of Real Estate is the one book, the Bible, of real estate advice and techniques every investor needs to navigate through the ups, the downs, and the in-betweens of the real estate market and come out on top. The only thing better than one real estate expert helping you invest and win is twenty real estate experts with that same mission. For the first time ever, Robert Kiyosaki, bestselling author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad, has assembled in one big book a star studded cast of real estate wizards and trusted advisors with one purpose in mind: to share their knowledge to help you win in real estate. This is the ultimate real estate desk reference you'll come back to again and again. Whether you're a seasoned investor or buying your first property, you will enhance your knowledge and grow your wisdom through this book. The book shows you how to value a property, handle leases, manage tenant relationships, get financing, even establish your own team of advisors, and so much more. You'll hear from the insiders and learn from their wins and their losses. It's decades' worth of experience and knowledge you just can't get anywhere else.

Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

Kiyosaki draws upon the counsel of 21 of his closest big business pals to prepare his audience to properly assess property values, locate foreclosures, lower taxes and even find hidden investment opportunities. The book couldn't come at a more appropriate time, given the rising number of home foreclosures, and luckily seasoned narrators Jim Bond, Sandra Burr and Bruce Reizen make listening an enjoyable and personable experience. Many such guides fail to reach listeners because of their less than inspired narrations; this talented cast not only injects life into their respective readings, but also manage to get the point across without sounding the least bit robotic. 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Reading for Real Estate Investors October 19, 2009
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is worth it's weight in gold! I've liked all of Kiyosaki's books and courses but this one really stands out.

Mr. Kiyosaki has brought together some brilliant minds and what they wrote is easy to understand and makes absolute sense.

As an investor specializing in lease options, I tried to do it all on my own and got 4 contracts but then they were not with motivated sellers.

While reading this book, it became very clear to me the importance of having a team of people to help you out. My biggest take away is "Investing is a team sport." Yes, I know that's a 'no-brainer' but now I truly realize what he and the others who contributed are trying to say in this volume.

Lately, I've switched over to specializing in tax deeds and liens and the chapter on lien investing by Mr. Wheelright is very good - he makes it very simple and easy to understand.

I highly recommend this book. It is in the top 3 books on real estate investing that I've ever read, and I'm a book and seminar junkie. Get this book today!!

If you want to gain some insights from real estate professionals do check out this book. It is like a tip book from a group of real estate professionals (investors, lawyers, accountants...) on their top past mistakes or right things they did. Learned couple of new ways to invest in real estate.

If you are just getting into real estate investing, first go read something from Ken McElroy, his books are more hands on.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very Repetitive March 2, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition
Theres alot of information in this book in regards to RE, but most of it is geared towards Commercial RE as opposed to Residential RE. Being that this book is a compilation of 22 different people, it will repeat itself more than once. So I would recommend it for the info just be prepared for repetition.

2.0 out of 5 stars I expected more... May 24, 2011
By James P
Format:Paperback
Just wasn't that great. I was looking for a book on residential real estate investing advice, instead I got stories about Burger King in Hawaii, El Poyo Loco in California, commercial properties, how to put a team together, a mini infomercial on each member of Robert's team, yada yada yada. There was some good information, but has anyone written a book with the hard hitting information on residential real estate investing; when to flip, when to hold, profitability profiles, etc? This book wavered between commercial and residential; I want focus on one or the other. I'm looking for the hard hitting statistics...the search continues, this wasn't it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best of the Kiyosaki series February 5, 2011
Format:Paperback
I own a lot of Kiyosaki's books. I started with Rich Dad,Poor Dad and loved it so I began picking up his books regularly. This book I checked out from the library and it is by far the best of all of them because I took away more specifics from this book than any others. It's more of a reference book than a how-to. The chapters are each written by different experts so the content is specific, thorough and relevant to each topic.

Kiyosaki is the MASTER of motivational messages in real estate. He has a down to earth style that keeps people reading at least a few books but, if you're like me, you quickly bore of the motivational message because you got that in the first book and now you're hungry for specifics.

Along with What Every Real Estate Investor Needs to Know About Cash Flow... And 36 Other Key Financial Measures, The real book of real estate by Kiyosaki is one of the best reference books on real estate I've read and is absolutely PACKED with useful explanations. I wish I owned it, but I took copious notes from the library copy. The rest of his books that I've read don't come near this one in terms of useful information.

1.0 out of 5 stars Returned it ... not for a SFH investor ... misleading December 19, 2011
By JMann
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Perhaps this book is for appropriate for people that are considering buying apartment buildings ( after all, a chapter is written by 'the Donald') but for an individual that is looking to buy several single family home rental properties, there are much better choices...much of the advice just does not apply. Also, beware that some of the advice in the book is misleading. For example, the author recommends taking deductions for all meals where real estate is discussed BUT NEVER MENTIONS THAT ONLY 50% OF MEAL VALUE is deductible. I found other omissions that inflated the value of the benefit being discussed as a 'tip.'

If you are preparing to become successful in the Real Estate department this is the book for you. If you have some Financal stability and determination you could pull off everything you learn in this book. Easy read, very informative, talks about all the important aspects of the business of investments in real estate. They give great examples through real life stories which really makes it a good read if you simply like hearing success stories for inspiration in your own life.

Probably the best real estate book there is. There are ones out there that specialize in small aspects of real estate; however, this book is a great collection of different experts writing about their specialization. Its the best place to start for real estate investing

Hi Robert! Ive been involved with a few network marketing companies, and none of them has panned out to making me any money at all! I live very rurally and know few people. Extended family is non supportive. My hubby was unemployed for a year, and...

Hello Robin. Thank you for the question. When I get in a situation that feels like a "no win" I do two things: I look at all the failures and all the losses and all the mistakes. I look at them hard and long, then I turn each failure, loss and mistake into a lesson. I learn. Mistakes are the best teachers so I learn a lot. After I've learned my many painful lessons, I reorganize, rethink and revise my opportunity. Then I act. Many times I've had to repeat this cycle over and over. But once learned, you'll never forget these painful lessons that are the keys to your success.
