Okay, I got the book and realized that it was a self-printed - but it REALLY cheeses me off when the author or editor cannot even edit the book properly (by hand and not spell-check) and it is rife with grammatical errors. It reads like it is written by a teenager. I would really like the book if it were put together properly instead of the slipshod way it is written and the pages have the title in huge bold fonts at the top. If it were formatted properly, the book would have been 60 pages.

All in all this is a wonderful read; sure, the author borrows a little from the first "Return of the Living Dead" film (mainly the origin story told at the beginning of the picture), but that's easily forgiven. The previous reviews are much for detailed than this, but if you do purchase this book do yourself a favor and skip the last 3 pages or so...it's a cheap gimmick that only serves to weigh down what is essentially a fun & fast book (that is if you consider a story of flesh-eating fiends fun). I understand why the author left that particular door open for a possible sequel, but the whole revenge element just doesn't fit well with the character written. Opinions are like a-holes, but I would have very much liked that this novel blossom out into a series with several first person accounts given of this "vaccine" being tested again and again throughout the decades. Just a thought! Any way, if you like zombie stories then do yourself a favor and pick this one up, it will not disappoint you...except for the last three pages or so.

It made you think about what really happened in hospitals during the 50s and 60s. Made perfect sense and the writing was interesting. Left you wondering if anyone was going to make it out alive.

A fairly different take on the zombie genre. Nothing truly unique about it, but the story progression was good. Characters were reasonable, action was pretty good, and the ending was well thought out. A decent read.
