About the Author

Geoff Cain has spent most of his working life in the electronic security industry in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He and his wife moved to South Gippsland, Victoria in 2000 and now own a farmlet based on a self-sufficiency life style. From the region, he has also developed additional skills in the dairy industry. Geoff’s first book, was inspired by a painting of his wife’s titled “Believe” and his little black pug. Taking up writing in the later part of 2009, it took 11 months to finish his first manuscript, since then it has been a hard long journey into the publishing world. Geoff has almost completed the second book in this series, and would like to bring it out around May 2012.

More About the Author

Geoff Cain spent his first 38 years Melbourne, before moving to South Gippsland in 2001.
From a background in electronic security and telecommunications, after his move to the country he has embraced the country life with farming and is a relief milker.

I lives on a small 3 acre farmlet, with my wife Lyn and our little black pug called Scrumpy.
In 2010-2011, I wrote a fantasy story around our 100 years old country cottage called 'Galmara', it is about two average people and their pug.
My manuscript was picked up by a publisher in four days, from there I have learned the hard ways of publishing and promotions.
Being a non Reader I felt this was an advantage in the way I write.
"It allowed me to write from a non readers view, to a "what would make me read", story."
I have not been involved in any writing groups or courses, so I can write straight from my head and my heart, with out influence and enjoy living the story as I write it.
My second novel is nearly finished, which only leaves the final book in the series to write. I have the outline of my next science-fiction book down and am also looking forward to the challenge of writing it.
Since this I have started to read, and found H G Wells and Phillip Reeves, to be a great inspiration in my learning more about writing.

The Realm of Believe has it all, dragons, a star gate, a charming couple, and their dog. Tedanill and his wife are transported to a second realm and trusted with a duty. The realm is called "Believe" Here they are to become warriors, but there is so much more they have to do in this realm.

In this story there are lots of encounters with dragons, people, and creatures that inhabit Believe. It's a charming story and for a first novel it has everything. However, there were a few things that did distract me. Those little things that make a great reading experience. I think some minor corrections to punctuation and grammar would enhance the reading experience even more. I enjoyed being transported to "The Realm of Believe".
