About the Author

Joe Cross is an Australian filmmaker and entrepreneur whose personal journey of transformation was chronicled in the award-winning documentary ''Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead,'' which to date has been viewed by more than ten million people around the world. Joe's journey to reclaiming his health and vitality through a 60-day program of consuming nothing but the fresh juice of fruits and vegetables--''liquid sunshine,'' as he calls it--inspired millions of people to follow his example. Joe created Reboot with Joe (rebootwithjoe.com) to provide information and tools to a global community of people eager to ''Reboot'' their lives. This book is Joe's complete, easy-to-follow plan, which includes advice, tips, and insights into the emotional and physical effects of a Reboot.

Joe lives between New York, New York, and Sydney, Australia. His next documentary will be released in 2014.

Lucky me scored an advanced copy and talk about a motivational speaker, Joe exudes inspiration without repeating himself over and over. I watched the movie 'Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead' for free on Amazon Prime (beats Netflix) and subscribe to Joe's free eMail newsletter but this is the first time I've paid for anything he has written and the $ is well worth it. This book offers much more than the 'Reboot With Joe' website and blogs where you can sign up for some inexpensive personal coaching and he hosts frequent mini challenges that you can follow along for free. I've done 3 reboots in the last few years, my first was for 10 days, the second was 2 weeks and the third was 3 weeks and I continue to do occasional weekend reboots. Reading the book is a perfect first step to gear up mentally and prepare yourself for what's to come. The first 3 days can be a bit difficult for some people because you want to chew something but you have to remember to drink plenty of fluid and keep yourself occupied with healthy thoughts. Wine lovers beware, grapes are a fruit and are allowed as juice, however, wine is not. It's a good idea to give up alcohol for at least several days before you start a reboot and flush that alcohol sugar out of your system or you may get overly sensitive and moody. Read the book and the blogs and gear up for your reboot, I guarantee you will be walking on clouds after day 3 and your steps will get lighter every day thereafter. New rebooters may hit a plateau after day 7-10 but you could easily go another 10 days if you keep your perspective. The weight will melt off and you will be inspired to continue but listen to Joe's sound advice about checking with your doctor.Read more ›

As the host of Juicing Radio I read hundreds of books on juicing. Most are written by so called 'experts' and 'gurus' but how many have walked the walk or juiced the juice?

Joe Cross has international recognition as the man who not only juice 'fasted' (or reboot as he calls it) for 60 days but filmed his journey and shared it with the world. Joe readily admits that he thought his movie 'Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead' may only be shown in a few yoga retreats and had no idea that it would catch on. He claims it has been viewed over 10 million times.

Joe filmed over 500 hours of footage that he had to edit into a 90 min documentary so clearly the movie left a lot of questions. 'Did Joe keep the weight off?" 'What happened to him after the film?' 'What about protein Joe?' ''How many juices should I drink a day' 'What is in that mean green juice?'

Joe answers these and many more in this new book. People may squirm at the word 'diet' as juicing is a lifestyle yet the true meaning of the word diet is 'way of living' that was the original meaning of the word from Latin and Greek.

The book talks about Joe's journey, highlights success stories from others around the world who tried juicing as a result of his movie and achieved amazing results.

Joe gives you reboot plans or 3, 5,15 and even 30 day reboots. (He even talks about beeturia..what happens when you go to the toilet after juicing beets!)

This book is long overdue and armed with this and his movie (and JuicingRadio) of course then there is no reason why people cannot succeed with juicing for better health.

Juice On Joe!

Before watching his movie I had given up hope of ever looking the extra 100 pounds I have been carrying on my 5 foot nothing frame. I was fat, fifty and female and just waiting for on more ailment to appear. Joe Cross' s book, Reboot with Joe Juice Diet is a true inspiration. After watching his movie Fat, sick and nearly dead, I wanted to do what Joe did but wanted more details on how to proceed. This book is giving me the information, guidance and even recipes on how juice. After just 2 days I've lost 2 pounds and have more energy than I've had in a long time. With God's help and Joe's book and website I hope to stop taking my diabetes, blood pressure and asthma medications and live a healthy lifestyle. Thanks Joe.

I fell in love with the idea of this program after watching the movie. I have suffered with more illness this year, than any I can remember. I knew my body was toxic. So now, I am on day five, with permission from my doctor.

Day one: Make sure you have the day off of work, it is miserable.
Day two, okay, but I was lethargic.
Day three: I started to feel a little better.
Day four: I was completely and utterly ravenous! I would have eaten shoe leather at one point. I was faint and dizzy and gave in to some animal proteins (Tilapia fish). It was the best choice I could have made. I felt sooo much better. I realized, that I need more protein than the diet can offer with just juice.

As a result, I am implementing his suggestion on page 177. If you are like me, build some more vegetable proteins into your plan. I have lost 4 pounds in 4 days, and I am on the road to wellness, I just need a slightly modified plan. So no more meat, but I will be throwing some all vegetarian protein powder and legumes or beans into my daily mix. Via, shake, juice. or if need be, a salad!

Hope this helps!
