5.0 out of 5 stars Love this cookbook! April 17, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I've been a fan of Recipe Girl, Lori Lange, for years and was so excited to get her beautiful cookbook. It's full of fantastic recipes that I can't wait to try. I've already made both the Oatmeal-Blueberry Breakfast Bars and the Tomato-Mascarpone Risotto...both incredible! With so many delicious sounding recipes (many with gorgeous pictures) it's truly hard to decide what to make next, but I'll definitely keep at it. This is a cookbook that I'll turn to over and over again. Thanks Recipe Girl!!

5.0 out of 5 stars I love Recipe Girl! April 16, 2013
Format:Paperback
You need this book! I've been following Recipe Girl for years and made tons of her scrumptious creations. Today I made the Lemon Lobster Rolls and we ate every last bite. Even my kids! As if the names of the recipes weren't alluring enough, the photographs throughout the book are absolutely gorgeous! There are even little tips and ideas in every chapter that help beginners. This is just one of those books you'll go back to time and time again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great cookbook for weeknight meals May 16, 2013
By Gina
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
After 3 weeks of making my shopping list exclusively from this cookbook, I feel comfortable reviewing it. This is an AWESOME addition to my cookbook shelf (soon to be cookbook bookcase). The recipes are interesting enough that you don't feel like you could have made them up, but easy enough to be weeknight meals made from a well-stocked pantry. And every single one I've tried has been delicious.

My fiance loves this cookbook because it has a lot of recipes with bacon in it. But it also has a lot of healthy stuff, some great salads, and a good variety of wholesome meals. It's hard to peg this cookbook into a "style", but if I had to create one it would just be "stuff you want to eat and will actually make." Nothing fancy, nothing French, just good food.

5.0 out of 5 stars Taste Bud Party June 2, 2013
Format:Paperback
OMG! Can you say Delicious over and over again! I must say that "The Recipe Girl Cookbook" is a real find, I am a caterer and I collect cookbooks and this one is going on my top shelf. Last weekend I had friends over for Brunch and I thought, what a perfect occasion to test this book out! Our taste buds had a real party sipping the refreshing "Pomegranate Mimosas" while enjoying the down home goodness of the "Bacon and Corn Griddle Cakes"-the mixture of savory and sweet was too die for, we all felt like we were at a real Bed and Breakfast Inn in the middle of paradise. A few nights ago, I had a cocktail party to celebrate a good friend visiting and among my various appetizers, I made the scrumptious "Sausage, Sweet Potato and Caramelized Red Onion Pizza with Sage Pesto" and for dessert we all could not get enough of the brilliant "Nutella-filled Mexican Wedding Cookies", so delicious...It was really sad that we all got too full, because we wanted nothing more than to eat and eat and eat! Lori Lange's cookbook is and eclectic blend of recipes of comfort food to chic and sophisticated, and the photos are just good enough to eat as well. If you want an exciting cookbook to awaken your hungry soul that is creative and fabulous then this cookbook will be for you!

I am totally obsessed with Lori's first cookbook! I made her risotto last night for dinner and my family was beyond happy.

All of the recipes are amazing, and great for entertaining. I'm so pumped to use the party menus in the back for some serious entertaining this summer.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have! April 20, 2013
By Faith
Format:Paperback
The Recipe Girl Cookbook literally has something for everyone...from things like Macaroni and Cheese Soup with Roasted Cherry Tomatoes to Garlicky Swiss Chard with Chickpeas, and Oven-Roasted Barbequed Salmon to Upside-Down Brown Butter-Banana Coffee Cake (which is, incidentally, the best coffee cake I've ever had...it's a fragrant, moist cake with a tender crumb and lovely caramelized banana top...and so easy to make!), you are sure to find new favorites that your whole family will adore. My nine-year-old niece can't put the cookbook down; she's made (and loved) the Corn Dog Mini Muffins with me, and she seems to always find a new recipe she can't wait to try from Lori's book.

I've already made quite a few recipes from the book, and there are many more I still want to try, like Cheesecake Hot Chocolate, Buffalo Chicken Wraps, and Hot Seafood Dip in a Bread Bowl, to name just a few! Like the recipes on her blog, the recipes in Lori's book have easy-to-follow directions and spot-on instructions; the book also features stunning photos by Matt Armendariz.

This book is a must-have, with so many recipes certain to become staples in your regular meal rotation!
