Excellent. Need to study the subcontracting ( loss of pay and beneifits), going on in the airline industry now for the ground services. Especially Delta's DGS subsidiary (Delta Global Services), Simpliticty Ground Services, Servicepro, Airserv, Prospect Ground Services, to name a few.
The air carriers rebid contracts (above wing & below wing) every 3 years or so. You lose your seniority (start with new company to stay local), the pay and benefits get worse. (Top pay $8.90/hour below wing at one sub-contractor). That's not a living wage.
High turnover, low pay, and especially bad flying perks. It might be free flying, but you're so low on the standby list that it's not worth it.
