Before he was Bond Sir Roger Moore was the suave and ultra-cool Simon Templar, the Saint. This series has all the hipness and elan of the best of the British sixties spy shows, ala The Avengers. Roger Moore had to hold off his Bond debut due to the popularity of this long-running tv show. The only drawback or criticism of this series are the ending of each show; They are done very "after the fact", and don't really give one a sense of closure to each episode. This really is a very serious issue, but Moore's Napoleon Solo (Man From Uncle) like portrayal is so right-on the series is still great!

The show is really good.....not liking that it is only a 30 day rental and unable to be viewed often without having to re-rent......

It is by far the best Detective series ever. Except for maybe a couple of bad shows, the series are very exciting, has beautiful women, a little flirting, takes you to London, Paris, Istanbul, India, Rome, New York, South America, Caribbean and more, even though most shows are filmed in London studios. ENJOY!

"The Convenient Monster" was very entertaining. I think that "The Saint" is more laugh provoking than exciting - but charming.
