Episode 2 shows the launch of the Jupiter 2 and provides the background for how and why Dr. Smith was aboard. It was very interesting to compare this episode with episode 1, which covers the launch and a crash on a planet, but no Dr. Smith, and no robot! Different theme music, too. My rating is not based on the artistic/acting/story/special effects merits of the episode. If you want to see the origins of many pop-culture references, this is a must-see. You'll have to go to other episodes to hear "Danger, Will Robinson!", though. |
