Downloaded this when it was offered free one day. It's a quick read and an "ok" romance. I wasn't blown out of the water by the characters or the story. The author was a little too descriptive for me...especially during the "love" scene. If you're looking for a quick read and not looking to getting emotionally involved...then I would choose this as a book to pass time with. It's not the greatest but it is not the worst either.

Summary: Gina, an accountant with "principles", decides to stay in the honeymoon suite that she had paid for even after she catches her fiance and maid of honor in an affair. Then a stranger shows up at her door, Race Bannister, who informs her that someone has paid for him to be her "groom"/date for the day....because supposedly, the former fiance, Bradley, decides to stay at the same hotel with his new bride (the maid of honor). What is that saying where you have to "suspend disbelief"? You're going to have to do that with this book....there are just moments throughout the book that wouldn't normally happen. And because of these moments, the characters and story were just ok for me.

Well-written story that doesn't quite live up to its promise. Good premise, but executed in a questionable way. I found it hard to believe that the H would let the h stay as her pretend groom when she had no knowledge of who he was or who might have sent him - potential for all sorts of danger. And I didn't buy her forgiving her fiance stealing best friend so quickly, either.

The story is short and an easy read. Race & Gina are likable characters and it was funny seeing them turn on the charm to piss of the ex (always fun seeing a cheater get put in his place). Not a totally original story line but who doesn't love a good love story. The twist at the end was a little surprise that I didn't expect so that added to the 4 star rating. Without it likely would have been a 3 star rating.

Also have to put in a note about "Etta" she was so cute :)

I agree with other reviewers, would have been better if it was longer. I would have enjoyed a little more character development but that would make it a full on novel not short. As it is, the story was enjoyable and I read it in one sitting.
Would recommend it to those looking for a "just for fun" read.

This was a good quick read. I found the love scene moving. It was interesting how Ms. Blake portrayed the emotions involved without too much detail. I liked it. For a short it was worth the time it took to read.

When I saw the title of the book, I coildn't help but roll my eyes and think who came up with this cheesy name???? I have to admit, I enjoyed reading the book. First of all, it was free, it was quick and it was cute. Story is about Gina who was sitting around sulking and moping in the honeymoon suite she was supposed to be in with her Ex-fiancee. Now she was alone and he was in the hotel with his new wife. Someone knocks at her door and she is imagining it being her ex. She never would have guessed that the man standing outside was an escort sent to her to provide her a lovely evening and to make her ex jealous. Race was there to do a job. The job was challenging because Gina was beautiful and everything seemed so easy with her. Gina has always been a conservative person and finally decides to do something daring in her life. Race and her go through with their plans and find they actually have a lovely time together. The chemistry between them is electric and the pull towards each other was inevitable.

Gina's ex sees her and suddenly he is acting strange around her, even though he was newlywed to her ex-maid of honor. Gina is starting to realize her feelings towards her ex were no longer there and that this stranger was able to make her feel things no other man has in the past. Nothing seems what it appears and there are a few twists in the story. Gina wants to find out who sent her the escort. Was it a trap or was it a joke?

I was satisfied with the ending, enjoyed reading this book and thought it was cute! Easy read for free!

This book almost seemed based on a Garth Brooks song- The Dance. Basically, would you rather enjoy what you had or not have had it at all?

Gina is in her honeymoon suite without her groom. She left him days before the weeding and when he had the gall to insist she give him the room for him and his new bride she knew there was no way she'd give it up. Then Race comes knocking on her door, an all expense paid Rent-a-Gent to teach Gina's cheating groom that she's moved on as well.

This book was pretty predictable. The ending although you could see coming some of the details were faint. I'm not sure it was that believable to me. Not to mention, I don't think relationships really end up going that fast. It was a bit hurried in my opinion.

I did enjoy it. It was a cute quick read that had a good plot and certainly had a few things to think about.

I enjoyed this story very much. Since this was intended to be a light read, I did not have any problem with the way the author developed the characters and plot. There was a little bit of mystery about both the rent-a-groom (who hired him, is he who he says he is) and the activities of the ex-fiance. The doubts were revealed gradually and allowed to build the suspense before they were all satisfactorily explained. And there was a lovely little reveal at the end that I didn't see coming.

I think the author did it just right. And I happen to like the title, it was the hook that got me interested in reading the book description or I might have missed this little gem completely.
