Book Description

High school reunions can be murder...

Meghan Donohue is no longer the fat girl she was in high school. Slimmed down and successful, she's made a name for herself as a bestselling mystery author. So why is the thought of seeing her girlhood crush again so daunting?

Zach Dunbar is not the skinny computer geek of long ago. Well-muscled and prosperous, he owns a multi-million dollar software corporation. But will it be enough to interest the girl he dreamed about all through high school?

Before they can make a connection, though, someone starts killing off members of the former "in" crowd, and Zach and Meghan must pool their expertise to help nail a murderer. As they unravel secret alliances and old grudges, their attraction develops into something much stronger. Can they stop the murders--and finally confess their love--before a killer destroys them all?

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun, attention grabbing read. July 19, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
"The Reunion" is a fun-to-read 'Who Done It?' that kept me guessing until the end. I'm pretty sure I suspected every character at some point in time, and the closer I got to the final chapters, the faster I read because I had to know who was behind the murders. The author kept my attention throughout the book, and never once let up on the suspense. Thank you, Suzanne Rossi!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun Read August 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I don't typically read suspense/romance but I liked the premise of the High School reunion and the 'mean kids' getting what they deserve. The book was well written and the story engaging. The romance was not overpowering and I liked the way it was handled. The dialogue was first rate and the storyline held my interest throughout.

I liked the main characters and there was a nice twist at the end.

I love a mystery with a little romance on the side. This was one of those who-dunnits which absolutely gave no clue as to who could have possibly done it till the very end. kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. could not turn the pages fast enough!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not my usual kind of read but I liked it February 4, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I liked it. I liked trying to figure out who the killer could be. I liked the classmates (typical stereotypes of any class) it liked to hate them. I liked Zach (I'm a sucker for a nerd turned hottie). Love came a little too quick but other than that it was a fun mystery with a sweet romance on the side :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunned January 16, 2014

I had pretty much figured out who the killer was towards the middle of the story, during the reunion. How it all evolved captured me till the very end. I am not usually a mystery reader, however I am certainly glad I made an exception this time. The ending was a total surprise. Thanks for a great read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read! December 5, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
High school pranks are devastating. It seriously hurts the people that are targeted. Some let it roll off their shoulders, but other take it personally. Sometimes it may cause harm or bring on revenge, even if it's twenty years later. The only question that I kept asking myself was why, why kill four people?

When Meghan arrived at her twentieth high school reunion, she did not know if she wanted to go in, wondered if people would recognize her since she was no longer the fat girl. If I was her, I would have walked right back where I came from now that I know what happened. Then there is Zach the geek, the one that the jocks made fun of but he was now a very successful Fortune 500 man. Both of them were surprised when they find out two of their classmates (members of a foursome who had given their classmates hell) have been murdered.

When another body turns up, they can't believe what was happening. Can it be a case of mistaken identity? Because the victim was wearing the same dress as Suzanne, another member of the foursome.

The author in Meghan was screaming to play detective. She was a successful writer and now maybe she could solve this murder with Zach's help. They got the approval and the investigation started. Meghan thinks the last two of the foursome need to be careful because they could be next.

What I liked about this story is that it had me guessing till the very end. The villain really could have been anyone. My only problem with Meghan was that it took her so long to put the puzzle pieces together and see that the past murders were connected with the first one at the reunion.

I liked that Ms Rossi kept me intrigued in this mysterious murder mystery. The pace of this story is good and the storyline flowed well.

3.0 out of 5 stars Murder She Wrote meets Nancy Drew! October 30, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Who doesn't love a high school class reunion with a little bit of murder mystery thrown in?

Meghan is now a successful author and much more confident in herself after working hard to become healthier. At the reunion, she runs into Zach, a super successful former class nerd who happens to now be hot. The two have chemistry right away. So what better to throw in other than a string of mysterious deaths of former classmates and another death during the reunion itself!

Meghan and Zach begin a race to solve the mystery before one of them becomes the target!

Overall the story is fun and kept me somewhat guessing until the end. I felt that both Meghan and Zach were a bit on the immature side- but having experienced my own class reunions I can somewhat understand the strong desire to be impressive to those people you dealt with during your more formative years! The interaction with the police officer did seem a bit contrived, I cannot imagine this type of circumstance truely occuring.

3.0 out of 5 stars Book seemed to go on forever
It was okay. But a slow read. I did finish the book but it just seemed to go on too long for a story that happened within a couple of days.

Although I had figured out who the killer was, it still had a few surprises in the end. All in all it's a good read and I would recommend it to others.

More About the Author

I was born in Indianapolis and raised in the suburb of Carmel, Indiana. I've also had the pleasure of living in St. Louis, Missouri; Rockford, Illinois; and Memphis, Tennessee. Currently, I call Ft. Lauderdale, Florida home where I reside with my husband and two lively dogs.

In between books, I love to travel, especially to see my two sons, their wives, and my six grandchildren.

I love writing and hope readers enjoy the adventures of my fantasy world as much as I enjoy creating them. As an author of romantic suspense, I'm always looking for a new way to "bump off" a character, so if anyone has an unusual idea, let me know. I love going out of the box and bending the rules.

Thanks for visiting my page.
