I downloaded this tune quite awhile ago through an Amazon free download and immediately fell in love.Audra Mae's voice is almost dirty -- rough and full of gravel, but clear and solid at the same time. Very jazzy. The lyricism used in this tune is incredible and she turns them into a story that is exceptionally raw and honest. The guitar is used very well to add another element to the piece, and the way in which it is played keeps the tune moving along rather than becoming stagnant. The percussion adds this same element of movement, and thus there is no chance of being bored in the piece. I would recommend this tune for fans of Joni Mitchell, Ingrid Michaelson, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, and The Civil Wars. While I realize this is a broad spectrum of sound, she takes aspects of each musicians work and it somehow combines to form this lovely song. Highly satisfied -- and I would recommend checking out her other tunes as well. Very talented lady, and it's a shame she isn't more well-known.

Cool vocals and acoustic guitar ditty, with modern throwback 60's type vocals with that reverb'y sound efx and background vox. Real cool somber piece, would fit right in during a montage on the HBO vampire series "True Blood". Take care people...
