This was a pretty good book about a man who writes for a rock magazine who tours with a local band. The writing was pretty good and there was good character formation. However, I would have liked to have seen the story go a bit further. Parts of it seemed repetitious but that's what touring is. There could have been more information about each member of the band but I like how the author brought the writers personal life into it. All in all, not a bad book

This tale is a glimpse into the lives of a fictional band, the fictional journalist charged with writing their story, and the complete reality of how "getting there" is far from glamorous. The characters are well written, the descriptions and imagery, vivid. "The Road To Fluffer" does not disappoint as you delve deeper into this tale of existential reflection, automaton 'rockers', and the strength it takes to tolerate both. It is a great read. I highly recommend it.

Realistic telling of a local band trying to make it. Great story, good characters and a homey feel to it. If you like or are in the music industry you will enjoy this read.
