Editorial Reviews

I recently received a copy of The Road Trip by Jo Lynn Crozier from Net Galley for an honest review. Liz goes on a road trip with God. He takes her to many fantastical locations where she interacts with a variety of whimsical characters. Upon departure of each location, she realizes she is receiving a treasure chest of valuable and practical spiritual life lessons.

Have you read passages in the Bible but not really understood what they meant? I know I have. This book helps you to see by the way of short stories what God wants you to know. Liz learns many life lessons via a sidecar to help us from having to learn them the hard way. This is a funny easy to relate to book that I highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Road Trip by Jo Lynn Crozier November 20, 2011
Imagine this, a woman named Liz wakes up too early in the morning with a terrible headache. Liz makes her way to the kitchen to get a hot cup of coffee. Heading back to the dining room to enjoy her cup of coffee and quietly visit with the Lord Liz hears a voice telling her that "My plan for you is ministry". Liz gulps and asks if He knows who He is talking to, as if the Lord would ever make a mistake. The Lord tells Liz that she is going to take a road trip with Him and Liz is excited to join the Lord on this trip. Liz is about to find out that the trip will be in a motorcycle sidecar with God as the driver.

The trips along the way take us to fantastic places that will open your eyes to so many of our basic beliefs and how God has given us so much and what He expects from us in return. These trips introduce us to angels, people, animals and even insects who will give you occasional humerous looks into the Lord's plan for all of us.

The Road Trip is a book that I recommend to everyone. The story is fun to read and inspires us to appreciate the fact that God is everywhere and always there for us.

This book was provided to me to read and review by Emanuel House Publishing.

Liz always felt God beside her, but she never thought she would be in his passenger seat! In this humorous, heartfelt adventure story, God invites an ordinary woman to travel with him on a life-changing road trip. Along the way, they encounter fantastic beings, heavenly houses, and extraordinary communities that Liz could never have imagined. But this is no vacation. Liz soon realized there was a lot she didn't understand about God, the world, and her role as a Christian.

God has a lot to teach Liz, and underneath all the whimsy is a deeper spiritual message with real-life applications. Will she be able to comprehend all this new wisdom - and will she have the courage to accept the challenging mission God charges her with? Buckle up and join God and Liz on a journey of a lifetime.

I received The Road Trip compliments of Shelton Interactive for my honest review and found this an interesting way to explain all the concepts of a Christian life as a road trip taken with God. From what it means to be saved, to producing fruit in our lives to tithing, this is such a phenomenal book that does just that through the telling of a road trip God invites Liz on. As each story is told, the concept is explained along with scriptural references to those passages within the Bible.

My favorite chapter is probably It's the Pits. In it God takes Liz on her last stop on their road trip to the Kingdom of Its. We've all been there, no matter where we are at in life and we all think we are the rulers. Yet in reality they don't have one. See if you've heard these lines before, "Oh, what is it? Where can I get it? How much is it? I've gotta have it and I need it!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Ride and Read! February 3, 2012
The Road Trip is a book that everyone should read. The Road Trip is a fantasy novel that takes you on a wonderful journey with God. Follow Liz as she and God journey to some amazing places as God teaches Liz about why it's important to allow Him to guide your life. You will learn what it means to really serve God and live for Him, and how to have a deeper faith.

On this journey you will meet some amazing people as God opens Liz' eyes to why it's important to allow God to lead you in this life, instead of trying to do things your own way, and why God's way is best.

This book is for everyone. I believe that you will learn so much. It's a simple, quick, fun read. No matter where you are in your walk with the Lord there is something here for you. I believe that you should definitely read this book. You will surely be blessed and encouraged.

God bless you all.

At first I really thought the idea of this book was rather stupid, but I kept reading and it only took a few more pages to discover that the message in this book were for me. I loved the way the author made the ideas easy to understand and yet relevant at the same time. Who are we and what does God want us to do with the things he has given us? Well read this book and you will have more than just those questions to think about.

My favorite chapter was the one on the Kingdom of ITS and how no one ruled there. Wow great things to think about and especially how we use are time. The chapter on the beehive and the activities we allow our mouth to go on...I have to say that this book spoke to me and I believe it will speak to you. I only gave the book 4 stars because it is very Christian and that may not be for everyone....but it was for me and I loved it and gave it a five star rating in my life.

I would suggest this book to anyone out there who needs something more....who doesn't need more something?
