4.0 out of 5 stars Where are all the other shows? July 6, 2012
By Bilas
I love Doctor who and Tom Baker is my favorite doctor. I love Robots of death so no problems there but why no more than one show per season? Where are all the other Doctor who shows? Genesis of the Daleks? Revenge of the Cybermen, .... I wish Amazon had more for prime users!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tom Baker was the first Doctor I saw February 19, 2013
Format:Amazon Instant Video
Being an American, I only began this series when the local PBS station would air each episode as a complete show on late nights. I was hooked. Granted the effects could never be considered "spielberg" or barely "special", but the stories... oh the stories...! When the stories are this amazing - special effects are just window dressing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Run when you hear a robot say Kill. Kill. Kill" January 21, 2012
I love watching old episodes and finding those little cross-over story elements which end up in the new series. The Robots of Death's killer robot idea is a lesser part of The Titanic where The Doctor, played by David Tennant, finds himself being chased by crazy robots with human faces (and wings) saying "Kill. Kill. Kill". In this Tom Baker story, the robots similarly go amok and say, with the same inflection, "Kill. Kill. Kill.". The story itself is very good and the costume work is excellent. As always, the script and acting is top notch for much of the Tom Baker era.

He's probably my favorite, although I like all of them a lot. He, David Tennant, Christopher Eccleston, Jon Pertwee and Peter Davison are my top five. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Love Dr. Who, & Baker -- just not the Amazon app!
Yeah, only the new Doctor Who actors, characters, and stories can match the Baker stuff (and I say that as a pretty big fan of Pertwee too!). He's the master! Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars The best Doctor?
many consider Tom Baker the best Doctor. More alien and detached but still caring for life forms of many types.

5.0 out of 5 stars No one can match Tom Baker
I love David Tennant, and Matt Smith is a delightfully odd duck, but Tom Baker is the Eternal Doctor Who.
