1997 was a festival year for UFOs. The great Roswell crash was celebrated for its 50th anniversary. In response, the U.S. Air Force conducted a re-investigation of Roswell, concluding (not surprisingly) that the cause of the crash was merely a secret balloon project to detect Soviet nuclear explosions. This video is one of many new volumes archiving the variety of films created or collected by the Air Force during this investigation. It is a rare insight into the government's own consideration of the phenomenon, whether or not you agree with the conclusions.
