I can't wait to get my team off the bus and into the boat!
Marilyn Krichko has written an accessible story of team building in "The Rowers' Code". The book can be easily read in a trans-continental flight and yet the message will stay with the reader for a long time. Team building is about relationships and this small book gives enough different types of relationships and personality types for any person you might have on your team. The story format makes the book much easier to read than the usual "preachy" management how-to book. The summary and key concepts at the end of each chapter make the points of the chapters easy to digest and retain. And the appendices make the book much more valuable for putting into practice. I know I will use the team building lessons for my individual management team and I trust it will benefit you, too!
