When I first heard about this show, I had no intention of watching it. I thought it was gonna be Toddlers in Tiaras but with dance instead. And the first few episodes of the first season, seemed to be just that. But as the show progressed, and the drama built up, I was hooked. Abby is hilarious, although I feel her teaching methods are a bit extreme. She can be a bully. But the moms are funny. The kids are adorable. I feel so bad for Kendal. Her mom is a hot mess. Christy was my least favorite in the beginning of the first season, but is now my favorite. I love Holly. This show is funny. This particular episode made me absolutely despise Jill. Rules are rules. And she keeps saying she wants what's best for her daughter, but she seems to be digging her daughter's grave with Abby. Abby even says it in the next episode. The whole thing with the costume was ridiculous. Everyone else followed the rules, even though they had jobs or were busy doing other things. Christy's costume for Chloe was awesome. Melissa's costume for Maddie was great too. Why does Jill get to be different? It's funny, Abby is extremely tough on some of the girls, but always acknowledges their talent. This show is crazy. I am so hooked.

I haven't been completely into the past few episodes. But this finale was great. I am so glad that the moms teamed up and finally put Abby in her place. It is so obvious that Abby's pet is Maddie. She never congratulated Chloe for getting accepted into Joffrey's summer program. Chloe also won first place in the competition. Who's at the top of the pyramid now? But Maddie messes up and Abby is brought to tears.

When the girls auditioned for Joffrey's, The comments that the talent scouts were making to Abby's dancers might be an indication that Abby may not have prepared them as well as she believes. She always says that she is preparing them for the real world and is turning them into employable dancers, but her prized dancer didn't even get in. In fact the scouts didn't like Maddie. They said she was better suited for Broadway. This came as a huge disappointment to Maddie. Abby just shrugged it off. They was also unimpressed with Mackenzie's booty shaking. They adored Chloe.

When Maddie ran off stage at the competition, it seemed like it was more for attention than she forgot her dance. Maddie doesn't forget dances. She threw a tantrum when Chloe got offered the scholarship and she didn't. I was so glad that Melissa actually reprimanded her. I was actually stunned. In past episodes Maddie has cried for no reason to get the attention back on her. When Maddie ran off the stage, Abby of course gave her a hug and told her she wasn't mad. Any other girl would have been made to feel like garbage and gone to the bottom of the pyramid. Then they would have stayed there until they won first place in the next competition or Abby felt the she should put one of Melissa's girls there in an effort to "challenge" them.

I absolutely love that I am able to view the episodes on Amazon. At $1.99/episode it is an excellent investment since I find myself watching them over and over again. The video is always high quality and there are barely any times when I have to wait for it to load. New episodes are posted promptly so I dont have to wait and even though it may say "unavailable at this time" if you click on it anyways you'll be able to view it right away so Dale needs to calm down since I have absolutely no complaints!! :)

I love this show. But the past two episodes seem to be showing a neutered Abby. Instead of her usual pointing out everything the girls did wrong and breaking them down until they are reduced to a pile of tears, she now tells the camera she noticed a few thing they did wrong, but it was okay. Then she goes into the dressing room and asks them how they feel about their performance. Then she tells them they did great. Now I'm not saying I want her to scream at the kids or belittle them, but this is not the Abby we have come to love.

I also feel that this episode was either badly edited or badly scripted. Take your pick. When Abby was at the front desk with her assistant getting the costumes ready, the conversation between them seemed to come out of nowhere. All of the sudden they are talking about how the other moms are going to cause Melissa to loose it if they don't stop bothering her. But up until this episode there hasn't really been any mention about her secret engagement for a few episodes.

Melissa's breakdown seemed to be an overreaction to the other moms' curiosity. They didn't seem like they were meddling. They were asking a bunch of questions, but the way it was edited, made it seem like they each had fifty questions that they all wanted to ask her at once. Very staged. The way that Melissa sat next to the other moms and strategically placed her hand out so the other moms would see she wasn't wearing her ring was definitely staged. But to call your lawyer and have the other moms threatened with a lawsuit? Really? They all happened to have the letters at lunch and pulled them out at the same time. It actually reminded me of Pretty Little Liars. The only thing missing was the eerie music.
