I have been racing with and against Michael Dove for over 15 years. I never knew he had such a sense of humor. I can relate to so much in this book, and I get to laugh at myself in the process. Great information for the casual runner and the serious racer. It's loaded with pratical advise that has been tested over the years and miles. My girlfriend, a non-runner, enjoyed it as much as I did becasue she sees a whole bunch of me in the book.

This collection of running articles is wonderful. Some are laugh out loud funny and some are meaningful and thoughtful. I particularly liked "Find Happiness" and "Bad JuJu". I've read a lot of running books and tons of articles in the Running Magazines but these are totally different and unique. These guys really know running and what it's like to think like a runner. I recommend this book for anyone. Really an enjoyable read.

I'm a sometimes runner and a friend recommended this book. It's my favorite read in a long time. I told myself to stop at just a few stories but I couldn't stop. Every story is interesting and fun. I really recommend this to anyone who is a runner or even non-runner. The writing is great and the subjects are often what everyone thinks about but doesn't write about. Hard to explain that but you'll just have to read them for yourself.

I really enjoyed these stories. A friend of mine in Monterey, where the author's live and write their column, said I should read this. I'm not a runner, but I was inspired to get out and walk after I read a few of these columns. Some were inspiring and others just plain funny. They certainly have some great ideas about life and exercising. I'll recommend this to all my friends.
