For years now I have waited for this albums release. Being the Roger Troutman fan that I am, I was saddened for many years to find this album only on record. I actually have a burned copy of the record on cd as we speak. I stumbled across this by accident one day while I was cd shopping. My heart skipped a beat when I read that this album was finally being released on to cd after twenty-eight years of being in Warner Brothers vaults. I am a talkbox player and I love to sing with my favorite tracks on this album. "In the mix, and Midnight hour." I also love the Jazz track "Tc song." As well as the other tracks that support this album. I have added this to my Roger Troutman catalog of albums that I have by him as a solo artist and with Zapp. From Roger's high-strung talkbox playing, to his soulful blues arangements, to his jazz playing, Roger was and always will be the Godfather of futuristic funk. I hope they will go back and release all the recordings again of Roger's work. I give this album high praise in music because it was my venture into music growing up. Roger, we will miss you and you made us very proud with your music. Keep on playin' in heaven. Your funk lives on!
