Read this issue on Kindle for Android Tablet, and it is infuriating. The app is slow and the Kindle format is terribly unsuitable for reading comics, or at least this comic book.
The artwork here is amazing because the artist does not conform to the conventional panel style. However, readers will not be able to appreciate his work to its fullest as the Kindle app is quite rigid and does not allow for smooth zooming and panning across the pages. This diminishes enjoyment, especially when viewing double page spreads.
Another irritant is the awkward nagivation controls, which are unhelpful when switching from portrait to landscape and vice versa, which in turn is a problem when jumping from a single page to a double spread.
Amazon is not doing this fantastic series any justice by presenting it so poorly. As noted by other reviewers, it even got a couple of pages out of sequence and had not bothered to fix it. Fans of this series are better off buying the e-comic from other sellers like Comixology, which has a better reader app that I am currently using to continue enjoying this series.
