Editorial Reviews

Emmy nominated for her role, Sarah Silverman and costars Laura Silverman, Brian Posehn, Steve Agee and Jay Johnston return for another season of loopy adventures in irresponsibility and rudeness: including made-up disabilities, creepy pedophile vans, wild ecstasy trips and shocking revelations about Sarah’s lady parts. If you like serial-pooping pigeons and dry-heaving, you’ll love the final season of this critically acclaimed series.

Season 3 sees "The Sarah Silverman Program" losing not a single step. This outrageously absurd send-up of the sitcom genre takes well-worn, cliched tropes and turns them on their heads. Examples include; Sarah reviving her childhood imaginary friend (Andy Samberg) who now wants to have sex and do drugs all day, Brian and Steve constructing their own robot "baby" named Breve, Sarah believing she was born a man and wearing her dismembered "member" around her neck like a locket, and the wonderful Maria Bamford (as the punnily named May Kadoody) being elected as mayor but losing her position when her fetish for eating eggs and onions while looking at women's panties is revealed. With a series as bizarrely creative as this one, the tone and humor can be difficult to sustain, but this series seems to defy the odds and continues to be fresh, bold and utterly "ridonkulous".

She is brilliantly funny.

But it's important to realize that people who don't agree aren't necessarily suffering from traumatic sensory deprivation experienced as a child. And it's not a given that only smart people love the dirty, filthy and highly inappropriate humor of Sarah Silverman. People from other cultures might find her to be offensive and childish. Not to mention incredibly stupid. Sometimes I watch TV from other countries and think, "Wow, this isn't funny. How can they enjoy this?"

You know, life is weird, and Sarah points that out very effectively.

Last Season just wet my appetite for MORE of "The Sara Silverman Show." Tonite, I watched "The Slip Slope" & LAUGHED MY F***ING HEAD OFF!!!! I have to Credit Sarah & her Writers for coming up with such an All-At-Once CREATIVE & HILARIOUS Script!!! Sarah awakens to find that a Prankster named SLIP, has just Moved-In across the hall from her, & let's just say...she's NOT amused! After an Annoyed Sarah decides to fight back, with a PRANK of her own, all HELL breaks loose!! DECAPITATIONS ABOUND!! This Is Not For The Squeamish!!! But I Tell You: It's So FUNNY, JUST GIVE THE SHOW A GO....ALL THE WAY TO THE END. I LAUGHED! You won't find ANYTHING like THIS on NETWORK TV!!!!!

This was a Christmas gift and a real surprise for my son as he loved this show.
Although we were a bit surprised as some of the really rough language, also
stories weren't as good as earlier seasons were.

Season one got me hooked, I consider season two absolutely brilliant, and season three is....a different show. Something happened in the writing or...something. I actually wouldn't buy it again. Almost unwatchable.
