This book has many of the Prophet Muhammad's saying in an easy-to-read style. The sayings are organized by subject matter which is helpful when trying to understand His point of view on particular issues. The true beauty of Islam is readily revealed in this book. Books such as this are very helpful in understanding the daily application of Islamic religious principles. The prophet's championship of women, compassion for the poor and the suffering, his loving and tolerant nature, and his innate passion for Truth come through loud and clear in this book of short and sweet sayings.

I agree with the first reviewer. I would like to add that the organization, supplementary information, and especially the translation provide welcome accessibility for non-Muslims, for whom this little book is intended. The words of the Prophet reflect a living personality that, in addition to his commitment to the firm foundation of Islam, was sensitive, practical, humorous, profound, loving, tolerant, fair-minded, courageous, and truly endearing. How I wish that someone had recorded the actual words that Jesus spoke in the original Aramaic with the same care with which the Qu'ran and the Sayings of Muhammad have been preserved.

For the non-Muslim reader this one small book will provide an excellent introduction to Islam's history, values, and practices.
Mahatma Gandhi called this book "among the treasures of mankind," and it was found in Leo Tolstoy's pocket as he lay dying in the fields he used to till.
The author, an exceptionally gifted scholar and lawyer was founder of the Pan-Islamic Society of London, and was given the title "Sir" by the British government. This book was first published in 1905 by the Society.

The sayings of this great prophet are Worth not only for muslims but for the whole of humanity. A book filled with wisdom. An example which is of actuality : " The most excellent Jihad (Holy War) is that for the conquest of Self". A thought for thinking.
