About the Author

He was raised in the household with the only mother he has every known Mrs. Sally (Lyons) McAllister. He has many sisters and brothers from his father's three marriages, 23 in number.

Bobby attended Garner Consolidated High School, Garner, North Carolina and graduated in 1966. He has a BAS degree from Campbell University, Buies Creek, North Carolina and AAS Degree from, El Paso Community College, El Paso, Texas. He joined the Military in 1967, served in Vietnam and as an Airborne Instructor. He was a Physical fitness Expert in the 25th Infantry Division, Hawaii. He is a Graduate of The United States Army Sergeant's Major Academy and retired in 1989 as a Command Sergeant's Major (E-9). He is married to Dorothy (Smith) McAllister from his hometown. Bobby and Dorothy's families have been supportive all these years.

He was converted in 1960 and did not know how to truly acknowledge this until there was a TRUE encounter with the Holy Spirit in 1979 when he experienced the Love of God for Himself. This encounter caused a real pursuit of the Lord, which put him on a journey, in and out of the military. The first place was Seale, Alabama to Rev. G. L. Glass who introduced him to Rev. David L. Thomas of Phoenix City Alabama. Rev. Thomas licensed and ordained Bobby into the ministry in 1980 where he served faithfully until the military moved him. The military moves carried him many places and allowed him to hear and meet great men and women of God. This enabled him to grow in God spiritually, relationally, and in Fellowship with the whole Body of Christ. He served faithfully in every place as a joint that supplied. Through the Laying on of the hands of Apostle Wayne E. Anderson and Prophet Charles Flynn, Bobby and Dorothy was sent and set in Jacksonville North Carolina in July 1989. They are the founders of Refuge 1 Ministries, Inc, International; this is a New Testament Ministry that demonstrates a balance in the areas of Race, Class, and Gender.

Bobby and Dorothy reside in Jacksonville, North Carolina. He has one daughter, Laquesha who resides in Georgia.

Bobby has traveled nationally and internationally throughout the years to Mexico, Korea, Hawaii, Canada, and many other cities in the United States.
