Overview of The Schliemann Legacy...

Heinrich Schliemann, the grandfather of archeology, discovered the ancient city of Troy and smuggled the artifacts out of Turkey. During World War II, those priceless artifacts disappeared from Nazi Germany. Learning the location of the treasure, the grossly obese information broker, Mardinaud devises the ultimate game for his amusement.

Carefully choosing his players, he pits old enemies against each other, watching the deadly race to find the treasure. David Morritt, a retired Mossad agent, Katrina Kontoravdis, a disgraced Greek intelligence operative, and Duman, a vicious Turkish terrorist all race from Europe to find the sadistic Nazi (Heiden) in Colombia.

The game is deadly and the ultimate prize might well be survival.

More praise for The Schliemann Legacy...

An excellent story with so many twists and turns that it is nearly impossible to predict what will happen from one moment to the next
Therese Flicker

The Schliemann Legacy is a fast paced and ingenuously plotted thriller.
R. Lee Holz

3.0 out of 5 stars Schliemann September 26, 2011
Format:Paperback
The Schliemann Legacy, a collection of artifacts that proved the existence of Troy, disappeared during World War II. In the present-day a Frenchman has uncovered the location of the treasure. He sets up a game whereby three individuals are racing each other to find the treasure.

Overall, I found the book to be ok. The characters seemed to be extremely stereotypical and were uninteresting. The plot was predictable and a bit boring. Overall, I would not recommend this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Trust No One! August 15, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
An excellent story with so many twists and turns that it is nearly impossible to predict what will happen from one moment to the next in the novel. Reminiscent of the short story "The Most Dangerous Game," D. A. Graystone develops a plot that will keep readers turning pages as quickly as they can. This is a must read for anyone even slightly interested in history, spies, adventure--or simply a well-constructed plot with characters who come to life on the page!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read for treasure hunting October 11, 2011
Format:Paperback
In 1873 treasures were found that proved the existence of Troy, only to be hidden for years. In 1943 the treasures disappeared from Nazi Germany. Years later, in 1981, an oversized man with nothing better to do than plot people against each other, creates another game to see who can find the treasure and survive against each other.

Great cast of characters, each with their own backgrounds of why they were chosen against each other. Keeps you going with who you think will succeed with so many twists and turns along the way.

Did not even finish the book. The writing was slow and uninteresting. Just not for me, even though the description sounded good.

I enjoyed the story. The plot was good, the characters well thought out and interesting. I like a book with a bit of history and archaeology in it and this fits the bill nicely.
