5.0 out of 5 stars What You Do Not Know About Sex... January 15, 2012
By NYFB
Format:DVD
Very educational experiments how males and females react and evaluate attractiveness, sex appeal, security and much more. Although we may assume how we would act, feel and react in a certain scenario, the science and the experiments that they exercise in this documentary shows that it is much more complex than what we think it is going on. Very entertaining but yet educational. Bravo.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must See December 10, 2010
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
Having sex appeal demystified by science is both funny and disturbing at the same time. Watching this may help someone avoid some of mistakes endemic in courtship behavior.

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite Video for Classes July 20, 2011
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
I use this when discussing attraction and mating habits in Human Sexuality and also Human Relations classes. Takes an evidence-based approach that is easy to understand. Shows some live experiments that illustrate the main issues in attraction. Some unusual attention to Evolutionary Psychology sprinkled throughout. Very, very good film.

I am an RN with 15 years of experience in the field. I am 41 years old and have been married twice. I thought that I was aware of most physiologic impacts on sex appeal and relationships. I was not. This documentary is very informative and eye opening. If you have ever wondered or guessed at why you are doing something(is it love? is it lust? what is it?) this is the DVD for you. Some months after watching it, my 11 year began to talk about being interested in boys. This video is far from tacky in any way. I put her infront of this, and she came away from that convinced that she needs to show this to the girls in her class. Every man and woman should see this video, and be aware of how much hormones do to our emotions and how we view things and the choices we make, and the evolutionary indications for our actions. If you have anyone who needs the birds and the bees talk, start here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ain't no denying the science... January 27, 2013
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
I often use this video when teaching certain courses at a local community college. My students are often shocked to learn just how much sexual activity is actually controlled between the ears. Great video...

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent July 1, 2012
Format:Amazon Instant Video
I think this video was on the History Channel, Discovery, or A & E--one of those; I never got to see it in its entirety until now. This is very good. Interesting ideas; symmetry, facial construction, smell, genetics--it's all explored. Very nicely done.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good! June 19, 2012
By Felonia
Format:Amazon Instant Video
My beau once mentioned the study about how good smells are indicative of immunological compatibility when I couldn't shut up about how good he smelled early in our relationship...

It's true, my beau smells damn good.

Overall, an excellent documentary. There's a lot of good information in there, and a couple theories I hadn't actually heard.

The experiment where people paired off by attractiveness was probably fairly traumatic for the participants, though. '_'

They do get a bit soft on science at the end for the sake of romance. I understand. I hope to mate for life, afterall. I do, however, think all behavior can be explained with enough context.
