Interesting piece of scientific data for anyone interested in human behaviour and psychology. Easy to read, enjoyable. The author is a qualified investigator in this field.

I liked the way the author, via this book gives insights into our own behavior. It is certainly possible to reason out or even relate to what we see in ourselves and what we believe, in general. My favorite ideas from the book would be "mental travel", "superiority and immunity of the self" (nothing bad can happen to *me*), "the joy of Friday, rather than a Sunday" (how we always look forward, rather than right now), how depressive thoughts are almost absent in childhood and old age, but prominent in the middle ages, and how we are in general very good at digging ourselves out of bad thoughts and how expecting the sun to shine keeps us going everyday. It does, indeed. Like the author points out, may be there is a evolutionary reason for that - survival.

5 stars.
