I'm a chiropractor and the practitioner of a tranformational form of wellness care. I had been practicing for about 6 years, feeling the whole time that there was something that I was missing, that I could have a deeper sense of satisfaction somehow in life, that my work could be far more powerful. A teacher of mine instroduced me to Shinzen's work and life got about 100 times more fun.

Shinzen has taken thousands of years of enigmatic buddhist teachings and boiled them down into a system that is as straight forward and accessible as your favorite pair of blue jeans.

I first met Shinzen Young in Arizona at a seishin with Sasaki Roshi. As the primary translator for Sasaki Roshi it was a wonderful experience. I am so glad I found this jewel as a nice reminder.

Excellent, simple and enjoyable.

Highly recommended for all faiths, practices and training.

If I was to be stranded on an island and only have one audiobook, this would be it. The clarity that Shinzen brings to the subject of enlightenment is astounding. I have never experienced such clear, integrated views of the path to awakening as well as how this path relates to other traditions and science. It contains fascinating topics that you will not hear very often from most teachers. Highly recommended! I've been listening to it once or twice a year for three years and like the title of my review says it will deepen your understanding with every listen. I guarantee it!
