PRAISE FOR USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR JENNIFER HAYMORE:

"4 1/2 stars! Top pick! Haymore's first House of Trent novel sets the bar for the series. Emotional, sensual and enchanting, this tale of forbidden love is a romance to savor. Appealing characters, a beautiful, unconventional love story and family dynamics--as well as deft plotting and depth of emotion--make this a keeper."

--RT Book Reviews on The Duchess Hunt

"4.5 stars, HOT! Readers have been eagerly awaiting this sequel to Confessions of an Improper Bride, in order to finally uncover the truth about Meg Donovan's "death." Haymore creates a highly satisfying answer, drawing the reader in with wonderfully realistic characters, adventure, passion and unexpected plot twists while crafting another delightful entry in the Donovan series."
-- RT Book Reviews on Pleasures of a Tempted Lady

"With beautifully rendered characters, lush sensuality, and a riveting story line, this well-told tale puts a refreshing spin on both the hidden identity and classic reunion plots and gets Haymore's new series off to a delightful start."—Library Journal on CONFESSIONS OF AN IMPROPER BRIDE

"41/2 Stars! Haymore uses the Christmas season as an enhancing backdrop for a mystery/romance that is both original and fulfilling. Her fresh voice & ability to build sensual tension into lively love stories...makes this tale shine."—RT Book Reviews on A SEASON OF SEDUCTION

"Jennifer Haymore strikes a good balance of strength, sensuality, drama and intrigue in her characters...Becky is an independent, fearless woman except when it comes to opening her heart to another man. And Jack, while strong and passionate, shows great sensitivity under his 'rogue' persona. With enduring characters that exhibit strong chemistry, I very much enjoyed Ms. Haymore's unique, engaging style and look forward to reading the other books that are a part of this series."—www.fictionvixen.com on A SEASON OF SEDUCTION

"Each time Ms. Haymore writes a book in this series I think there is no way to top the one I just finished. I started this latest one and realize she has done just that and has proven to me how fresh this series can remain. The characters of Becky and Jack are so full of life and longing just trying to make the right connection between family, relationship and future happiness while figuring out who to trust with all their secrets. This is a wonderful story and while I recommend reading the 1st two it is not imperative as Jennifer Haymore is a magician at connecting the plot from one book to the next-- but trust me you will have to buy the first two, they are that good."—The Reading Reviewer (www.marygramlich.com) on A SEASON OF SEDUCTION

"Ms. Haymore has penned a fabulous story of seduction, romance, intrigue and betrayal and above all that - love. You don't want to miss it! I'm now a big fan of this new author and she is going on my automatic to buy list! I love her writing style and the complex plots that she has weaved so beautifully together....The characters are amazing and the story will tug at your heart strings. With a dead sexy hero, a sweetly practical heroine, and a love story that draws together two people from vastly different backgrounds, A TOUCH OF SCANDAL is positively captivating!"—Elizabeth Hoyt, New York Times bestselling author on A TOUCH OF SCANDAL

"A unique, heart-tugging story with sympathetic, larger-than-life characters, intriguing plot twists, and sensual love scenes make A HINT OF WICKED an impressive romance debut! About the Author

As a child, Jennifer Haymore traveled the South Pacific with her family on their homebuilt sailboat. The months spent on the sometimes quiet, sometimes raging seas sparked her love of adventure and grand romance. Since then, she's earned degrees in computer science and education and held various jobs ranging from bookselling to teaching inner-city children to acting, but she's never stopped writing.

You can find Jennifer in Southern California trying to talk her husband into yet another trip to England, helping her three children with homework while brainstorming a new five-minute dinner menu, or crouched in a corner of the local bookstore writing her next novel.

Handsome Samson Hawkins has fled terrible memories --- a childhood as a duchess's bastard in a chaotic and dysfunctional family, two disastrous marriages, violent and bloody British Army service -- by escaping into the anonymous work of a secret agent for the Prince Regent's government during the Napoleonic Wars.

Provided he carries out his orders -- usually quietly kidnapping or assassinating traitors -- he is left alone and out of the spotlight, which suits him just fine. No more close friendships or marriages for Sam, thank you.

Until he's forced to kidnap a French noblewoman, who witnessed him killing her English husband.

Elise, Viscountess Dunthorpe, is beautiful, intelligent, and has many tragic secrets of her own. The last thing she wants are romantic feelings for her captor. She just wants to escape from him. She's sure Sam feels the same way about her.

But Sam and Elise are slowly, inexorably drawn together by an inexplicable attraction -- even though Sam believes that Elise aided her husband's treason and may be planning to kill him -- and Elise believes that Sam will eventually kill her --

And that's just the first two chapters!

Watching this romance develop, with surprising plot twists and turns in almost every chapter, is quite rewarding. Both Sam and Elise have strong senses of humor, so passionate words and actions don't turn the book maudlin or unbelievable.

(Bonus: Sex in the novel is very explicit for everyone who likes that.)

The novel also has a sub-plot, the final resolution of the disappearance of Sam's mother, the widowed Duchess of Trent, who vanished about a year before the story begins. You don't need to have read the two previous books in the "House of Trent" series to enjoy this book, as each book in the series is self-contained and explains what happened in earlier books.

Very enjoyable!

THE SCOUNDREL'S SEDUCTION by Jennifer Haymore is an exciting Regency Historical Romance. #3 in "The House of Trent" series, and what a series! Can be read as a stand alone, but I would strongly recommend reading the series in it's entirely. See,"The Devil's Pearl"(Novella), "The Duchess Hunt", "His By Christmas"(Novella), "The Rogue's Proposal" and "One Night With an Earl"(Novella).
This is Sam Hawkins and Elise, Lady Dunthorpe's story! Sam is an undercover agent, the eldest, albeit the illegitimate son of the Dowager of Trent, and devoted to his country. Elise, is the wife of a traitor, and a witness to his demise at the hands of Sam, who was sent to assassinate the traitor, Lord Dunthorpe. Sam was left with only two options, kill Elise, who witness the assassination or take her prisoner....can he trust her or was she a part of the traitor's plot?
Follow, Elise, and Sam as their navigate the waters of passion, betrayal, trust, seduction, adventure, danger, and love. Oh, and we find out the mystery of the missing Dowager Trent, which started this whole adventure in book 1.
Sam and Elise have many obstacles and dangers to overcome if they are to risk their hearts and save Elise's life. Oh, I forgot to mention, Sam has been ordered to eliminate Elise, as a possible threat to the country. Fast paced and filled with passion and love. I love the way Ms. Haymore brings the Trent siblings together, how they work together to help each other no matter the consequences or the reasons. Ms. Haymore is a wonderful storyteller who writes with passion, and fills the reader with romance and warmth. A must read Historical Romance. Rather you enjoy historical romance, or romance itself, this is a great tale of romance, love and seduction. Received for an honest review.

I’ve always enjoyed Jennifer Haymore’s lush and emotionally plump historical romances. The House of Trent series has been particularly enjoyable as it builds upon the trope of impossible connections forming between unlikely candidates. A seductive and somewhat somber series that divulges into the scandals and secrets of an aristocratic family.

The Scoundrel’s Seduction is the third book in Haymore’s historical romance suspense series-The House Of Trent. Focusing on the first born, Samuel Hawkins, we finally learn the reasons behind his quiet deadly nature and frequent disappearances. Though the first born, his illegitimacy forbid him from inheriting the title when the former Duke passed away. Employed as a spy for the Crown, Sam lives his life where he feels the most comfortable- in the shadows.

Our heroine, Lady Elisa Dunthrope, escaped to England as a child when her family fell victim to the guillotine’s kiss during the French Revolution. Pushed into marriage at a young age by her uncle, she has suffered for her French heritage and her husband’s dreams of grandeur. Dreams that lead him to betray his country. After seeing her husband murdered before her eyes, Elisa is dragged into a deadly game of cat and mouse where everyone wants her dead. Her only hope is a man whose very nature demands he never trust her.

The story starts out with a heavy hand towards action and intrigue when our hero, Samuel Hawkins, is forced to take prisoner the wife of the man he just assassinated. A spy for the Crown, Samuel learned that Lord Dunthrope was selling secrets to the French. The verdict for this treason? Death. However, no one expected Lady Dunthrope to be in residence. As a witness to the murder, Samuel can’t let her go.
