A little too woo woo and wordy for me!
on November 28, 2012
Well, I know this book has been recommended by many including the big O herself and I bought into the hype and gave it a chance (twice!). While reading "The Seat of the Soul", I could just imagine being in a conversation with Zukav and wanting to jump out of the seat of my pants! The way he wrote this book made me feel like he would be a person who appeared to be an enlightened, ego-free guru to the outside observer; however, his style of writing made me perceive him as someone who would dominate the conversation using recycled new age mumbo jumbo (even considering publishing date) without ever glancing at me to see if I was understanding him or even still listening to him! Overall, while there were a few new/interesting things to consider, this book was a bunch of wordy woo woo if you ask me. Some who disagree with this review might just pass it off as me being an unenlightened reader. While that may be true, my soul knows that a third read of this book won't get me any closer to enlightenment--though it might help me fall asleep better on those nights where insomnia kicks in.
