Editorial Reviews

As Christmas approaches, a single mother (played by Reba McEntire) struggles to raise her son and keep up the payments on her Oregon ranch, which is difficult since she's heavily in debt. But she's a tough cookie, and proves that a steadfast attitude and an open heart go a long way in surviving the cold hearts and greed of the Scrooges around her.

Set in early 1800s Oregon, this is a great Christmas movie the whole family can enjoy. Reba McEntire gives a great performance as a widow whose life, and the life of her young son, is forever changed by the appearance of a mysterious stranger (Thomas Ian Griffith) who is being hunted by the law. A little romance, a little adventure, a little mystery and a lot of holiday cheer make this a fun movie for Reba fans or anyone who enjoys a good movie.

This is a wonderful Christmas movie and I cannot believe that it has not been transferred to DVD. I would buy it immediately if it ever comes out. I just saw it for the first time a few days ago on one of the Christmas Movie channels and I absolutely loved it. Hope someone gets smart and puts it on DVD.

I love Christmas movies and I highly recommend this movie to anyone who likes a good movie that takes place during the Christmas holidays. It stars country singer Reba Mcentire who really is a wonderful actress and I think that they really need to put this movie on DVD!

Love this movie and own the vhs but would love to switch over to dvd....when will this ever be released? So many of the same films keep getting re-released (not very good ones either) while other great films never again see the light of day. There is a whole market of wonderful unreleased films out there! Please.....
