5.0 out of 5 stars My vote for best soundtrack of all time!!! January 6, 1999
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
I've had this soundtrack (on cassette) since I was in high school. I have to get it on CD just in case the cassette ever gets eaten. The title track by Nightranger continues to be my favorite, "Get Pumped" song -- if you're in sales like me you'll know what I mean. The rest of the cuts are excellent as well -- the only thing missing unfortunately is the song "Oh Yeah" by Yello. Given this shortcoming, this still remains one of my favorite albums of all time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great toe tapping tunes June 7, 2000

The Secret of my Success is a funny, witty movie, it is one of my all time favorites. I first watched it when I graduated from college and can relate to wanting to climb to the top like Brantley Foster. The music is upbeat and lively. The only bad song on it is Riskin a Romance by Banarama. It sticks out like a sore thumb on the album, but the rest of the songs are sheer fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fox at his height!! November 21, 2002
Format:Audio CD
The secret's out: this is an awesome record!!
The title track of this album will surely get you pumped, but the other songs rock as well. Roger Daltrey's "Price of Love", for instance, is comparable to his best years with The Who...The soundtrack, though, is prime-time 80s. Take a seat, relax, and get ready to have some fun - with a capital F!
At any rate, hope ya' dig the soundz to this cd. PEACE!!!!!!

The selections on this soundtrack are pretty good but I couldn't help feeling disappointed with it because it lacked the biggest hit song which was the centerpiece of the movie: Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves. Unfortunately I didn't check the song list carefully enough before I bought. Don't repeat my mistake.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great music soundtrack of the 80's but... June 30, 2014
Format:Audio CD
By far some of the best 80's music on this soundtrack from this album but as music gets some of the more popular ones were left out of this like Oh yeah by Yello or I'm walking on sunshine by Katrina and the Wave which is still popular after all this time. Now what David Foster the most popular and well know producer of many 80's artist from Seal as well as his more famous music scores like St.Elmo's Fire does a brilliant job with Water Fountain on this soundtrack. Sadly he no longer has these wonderful pieces played as much anymore as he has since retired from music or no longer uses digital music as part of his musical style. Even harder to find this as a digital download.
