Format: Paperback
Becca Keating does a great job bringing her "can do attitude" toward life to this text in a clear, informative, and easy-to-understand manner. I really enjoyed collaborating with her on this book, particularly on the topic of how bullying can get started with our youth at such a young age, especially in and around our institutions of intermediate and higher learning. Becca's explanation of the use of "reflective statements" in communicating and the examples she cites truly give the reader a realistic picture of one of our greatest needs in human nature- we all just want to be heard and understood. This is one tool that has been invaluable to me personally during my career of more than 30 years in public law enforcement and private sector security. Great job Becca, I'm already looking forward to the sequel!

As someone whose communications skills are frequently tested, but typically ascertained, I always assume there's room for improvement. I found Keating's personal views unique, refreshing, and helpful. Geared for people looking to develop subtle communication skills, the book includes helpful insights into body language and self-bullying, often a recipe for bullying others.
