Book Description

What does prayer smell like?

One year of Bible study.

One summer of Bible teaching.

One ebook: “The Sensational Scent of Prayer.”

Each step brought the familiar sights and sounds closer. The annual trek to the tabernacle was one dreaded by Hannah. The trip only meant more of the teasing and taunting; when would it ever end?

As the smell of the constant, burning incense of tabernacle lamps became stronger and stronger, Hannah’s broken spirit poured out words of desperation. Anguish flooded her body, disabling her voice.

The tabernacle’s perfumes waft higher into the air and Hannah’s prayers trailed just behind them, soaring to the heavens, rousing the attention of her heavenly Father…

The One Who loves:

The Sensational Scent of Prayer.
Foreword by Karen Ehman, Proverbs 31 Ministries

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring insight & practical prayer May 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Ever sturuggle with prayer? I don't mean that you, as a follower of Christ, think it isn't important.

I mean things I sometimes ponder like, if God is gonna do what He is gonna do anyway--being that He is all omniscient and all--then why pray in the first place? Or why at times do I pray continually only to continually get no obvious response? Is He busy? Or ignoring me? Or is He just slow? Have I done something wrong so He is refusing to answer?

If you've too ever wondered about the mysteries of prayer, you are gonna LOVE the new ebook by blogger Rachel Wojnarowski.

Seriously love it. As it traces the story of Hannah and her anxoius heart, it propells you to ponder the hows and whys of communicating with God. Both inspiring and practical, this book will prompt you to both pray more and worry less. After all, God's got this.

5.0 out of 5 stars What does prayer smell like? September 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Have you ever thought about what prayer smells like? In her short but so, so sweet e-book, The Sensational Scent of Prayer, Rachel explores the concept. The Bible states that our Heavenly Father experiences our prayers as sweet-smelling incense. Revelation 5:6 says he saves our prayers in golden bowls. Makes me think of the cinnamon pine cones my grocery store always sells around Christmas time. The aroma literally permeates the store, warming my heart and easing it into the Christmas spirit.

Oh, how I love the thought of my Lord, bending down over those golden bowls and breathing deep. He loves to hear from us...even when we're hurting.

In her book, Rachel takes us on a multi-sensory field trip into the life of Hannah, the mother of Samuel. In the midst of deep sadness and unceasing harassment from an adversary, Hannah poured out her pain and need to God. Prayer changed Hannah before God changed her circumstances.

That's the beautiful thing about prayer. When we pour out our pain, God is free to fill us up with His presence, His power, and His provision.

Rachel shares deep truth about my favorite topic in a sweet-next-door-neighbor style. Get the e-book free for your Kindle today and tomorrow. You'll have so much fun reading it that you won't even realize God is sneaking truth into your soul.

5.0 out of 5 stars All in God's timing September 12, 2012

It all started with a panic attack. LOL. No really, Saturday morning I was dropping my 20 year old son off at work. You see, he has epilepsy & he started getting that old familiar feeling. Anyway, fear grips my heart in such an indescribable way when your children are potentially in danger. Anyway, long story long, God had revealed to me during church the next day that I was letting fear & anxiety literally clog the echoes of eternity that He placed in my heart. Longings for ministry that have eternal rewards. Ministry I believe He has specifically purposed for me to carry out. I completely lost it, right there at my seat, in front of God and everyone. Well, at least He was able to soften and prime my heart for this book. That night I couldn't sleep, & I saw the free download book. I read it in about 12 hours. God really spoke to my heart about what happened earlier that day through Hannah. Her desperation. Her prayer. Her gratitude. He even spoke to me through your diaper story. I have found such peace in simply asking Him to take my anxiety. Sounds so simple, yet it has been profound in my heart.
Thank you so much for allowing God to use you. Your faith is contagious. You made me want more of God and so much less of me. To God be the Glory, and may we stop long enough to watch His Glory in action.
Humbly, Susan
