Format: Hardcover
"The Seven Desires Of Every Heart" by Mark and Debra Laaser focuses on what the authors perceive are the 7 great needs of every human being:

1. To be heard and understood
2. To be affirmed
3. To be blessed
4. To be safe
5. To be touched
6. To be chosen
7. To be included

The authors show how important these needs are and how the reader may have them met in legitimate ways that please God.

The book is a good read and encourages and challenges the reader to think of the ways he or she tries to have these needs met and how their current methods are working.

Recommended.

The Seven Desires of Every Heart is a great book to use for a couple's small group study. I read through the book quickly and gleaned a lot, but collected much more valuable information when I slowed down and pondered the points the authors were making. These points are not to be missed to help you refocus on understanding your own needs and the needs of those you love. I look forward to working through the workbook that is coming out to help solidify these concepts in my heart and mind so they can become a compass for quality living.

An excellent tool for personal growth and understanding why folks react the way they do. We used it for our devotions each morning and found it worked well to stimulate thinking, interaction, understanding, and therefore communication. I would highly recommend this book.

I have seen, first hand, with my own eyes the result of the work the Laaser's do in the lives of people who's marriages are beyond hope. Their work did not "fix" the couple; it "changed" them.

If you are not dealing with marital issues but you still live on planet earth and have to deal with other people this is also a must read. CAUTION: Read this book slowly. Read it when you are fully awake; no TV on to distract you. Read it with a pen and paper at hand to take notes. You will get out of it what you put in.

Excellent book that gives insights that are life-changing when understood and applied. Well worth the read! We all have deep longings in our hearts and are on a search for fulfillment in our lives. This book digs deep and helps a person gain understanding of their own heart so they find what they are searching for.

The Seven Desires of Every Heart is one of the best books I have ever read for putting
words to the desires of my heart. It not only helped me understand my own desires and
wants but it has helped me understand others more. I found a lot of freedom in looking
at the 7 desires and how some of these basic needs were not met for me as a child.
I was able to begin to grieve the loss of them in my life and heal. I highly recommend
this book to others. I think it would be best read with at least one other person.

An awesome book that hits home with me... It speaks to the needs of every heart and shows you how to deal with the issues that result when those desires aren't met. A must read for Christians and non-Christians alike.
